      This.
And I'd agree that it should be a neutral, not negative.
It's not like you drove 2 hours and he was a no-show, he let you know that "something came up".. and with his added comment I would have suspected he had a local buyer lined up and the "let you know" was in case the deal fell through.

Seller is a douche. They're everywhere and legion.

The transaction was not on CGN, no feedback is appropriate.

Even if the deal was here, neutral or nothing.

For all of you that say its his right to back out, I say that he has no personal integrity, you give someone your word YOU NEED TO STAND BY IT.
Thats it, that person has just proven that they cannot be trusted, my POP's
told me that your word is the only thing you own in life, if you if you lose it or give it away YOU CANNOT EVER GET IT BACK!!!.
Give him a negative feedback, so we all will know what kind of a schmuck he is.

I agree, it wasn't a cool thing to do.

As posted above, this did not cost the OP any money, and an item he bought was not misrepresented. If he were to leave negative, it would be removed by admin if the seller protested.
Also, the transaction was on Armslist, not Calguns. There is no for-sale thread that the OP used to make the agreement, so #2, the feedback is not appropriate for Calguns i-trader.

OP could post up about the seller in one of the threads related to "watch out for this seller" but that's it.

Nuetral. At least he called to cancel. If he left you standing at the lgs counter, you might have a better case for negative

Dont get me wrong its a dick move, but its just my honest opinion. But yes it prolly deserves neutral feedback as backing out from a deal.
What you are saying in your above quoted post is.

I do not keep my word. I cannot be trusted. Are you good with that?

Since the deal was on armalist the feedback would go there, not calguns.

It warrants neutral feedback to me but not everyone has enough honor to go through with a deal these days. If he had an issue with the distance he should have said so before agreeing. If he thought about it and had someone closer step up the least he could do was ask if you would mind meeting closer.

Calguns iTrader should never be used to rate a deal made outside of the Calguns community.

Does this failed gun deal elsewhere make me look fat?
