Does this warrant negative/neutral feedback?

So I saw a gun for sale on armslist, got in contact with the seller and set up a day and time to meet(tomorrow morning). Everything was confirmed and good to go and then he says at the last minute that he can't make it because something came up, but he'd let me know what happened. So I'm perusing calguns and I noticed he posted it here as well but it's marked as sold. I contact him asking about it and he says he sold it to someone else because they're closer. I understand that they're closer so it would be easier but he specifically said he could drive to me to do the ppt and everything was confirmed. I was really looking forward to buying it and he sold it out from under me. Does this warrant at least neutral feedback? He gave the impression that he was just busy tomorrow and even said he'd let me know when he was free again to do the transfer, but then admitted that it was sold once I asked about his calguns thread.

Pretty bummed about it, just wanted to see if there's anything I can do.

I'd leave negative feedback if he promised me the gun and backed out that way.

In all honestly if i sold a gun to someone and agreed to meet them an hour away, and then someone who lives in my same city offered me the same amount, i would prolly back out of the deal too. Dont get me wrong its a dick move, but its just my honest opinion. But yes it prolly deserves neutral feedback as backing out from a deal.

I think the general rule is if you haven't lost any money, even if it's just burning gas, then you should not bother with the I - trader rating.

but I could be wrong about that.

And as someone mentioned above,
if you feel the need to,
go do it over on the Internet gun auction forum where you made the deal.

When you say everything was confirmed, does that mean that you had a deal? Or was it just logistics regarding inspecting the gun? Big difference. If you had a deal, you should leave negative feedback as the seller broke the deal. Otherwise let it go.

The seller could have at least gave you the option to do a ppt at a place of his choosing....if the other buyer being closer is what made the deal. I drive all over for the right deal being closer doesn't get anyone anything if you are willing to drive to the seller. But there are tons of deals to be had another one will come along I wouldn't worry about it too much we've all been there before.

I don't think it warrants feedback, but it should serve as another reminder to just be upfront and honest in your dealings.

Yes we had a deal, everything was good to go and we agreed on a time and place for me to purchase it, and I had the cash withdrawn and ready to go

While it appears that neutral feedback would be appropriate, don't these rules presuppose that the transaction took place on Calguns? The OP made a deal with this seller on Armslist. He just tracked him down here on Calguns after the fact.
