Fed's gun stolen again

My question is why does the guy have a submachine gun in his trunk? That type of thing (as noted above) is pretty much reserved for HRT and generally speaking should only be seen in combination with balaclavas and a Bearcat and or whatever the FBI equivalent is. I mean I guess maybe if he was SWAT/HRT and that was part of his go bag, maybe, but... the whole thing sounds shady.
That said, I can't blame the agent for trying to label it stolen.... I mean I'd love to be able to have an MP-5/10 as well. But seriously - even if you opened the container lovingly to remove the thing, at least close it back up and then force the empty container open afterwards to make the story a little convincing...Comment

Their end desire is painfully obvious. What the grabbers are doing is called divide and conquer. Remove our right, with LE on the sidelines, and then go after LE. It's a lot easier doing it that way rather than fighting us both at the same time. If we instead force LE on to our side now, we have a much better chance of holding on to what little we still have, and maybe even making some gains if we can get rid of some existing exemptions.
I have several LEO friends, and you should hear the howling about not being exempt from some of these new registration laws. They didn't realize that it was going to apply to them. Want to bet they'll pay a little more attention now, and maybe put a little effort into defeating any future bills? The most common comment I get is, "I've always been exempt, so I never realized how screwed up these laws were."sigpic

its lame that these guys care so little about the laws, that they blindly enforce them, with no though about it. Just follow orders, no question. No matter how it effects people.
And now that it effects them, NOW they care?
God I hate this stateIm just a doode, playin' a doode, disguised as another doode

It's primarily a "fed" gun.I was not even aware that MP5's came in 10mm. That is one hell of an Impressive gun. You could lay waste to an entire gang of bad guys from behind a brick wall, damn. I'vw shot a UMP 40 in full auto with a standard capacity mag and it's one hell of a gun I can only imagine 10mm
I've fired 9mm, .40 smith and 10mm in semi auto pistols (never had the chance to fire a SMG), and I can say that the first two rounds are pretty much identical. The 10mm has quite a bit more power-it falls about halfway between a 9mm and a .44. The MP5 in 10mm would be a blast."What is a moderate interpretation of the text? Just think. Some super badass dude with connections to to the FBI now has one in his gun safeSome say that he once mooned two prostitutes just for a round of drinks, but wasn't surprised by the reply......They call him, the Hutch
Some say that he rode a dirtbike 7k miles across the country and that he once applied Bengay to his own testicles for a mere $50............They call him, the Hutch -Top Gear

How come nobody ever demonstrates full-auto by doing a mag dump?
"Here's how it shoots in semi-auto"
"Now, here's how it shoots in full-auto, except I'm only going to cycle 2 rounds at a time"
"That's it for the video, hope you enjoyed"

Still, that's about the coolest submachine gun I've ever seen. Do want!
But that video, though....

FBI: "Will the person who took a full auto MP5 please turn it in... we really need it."
GANGBANGER: "Yo, look what I just picked up. It's sweet! I bet I could get a couple benjamins for it."The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.Comment

In SF I am not surprised at all. Car burglary is rampant and ignored all day every day. Lock boxes only keep honest people honest and Fed cars are easy to spot and high value targets with minimum risk. Several years ago I was in Detroit and interrupted a car burglary of a DEA SA's Thunder bird a block from the Fed building during the day. I called Federal Protective who called the DEA guy while I stood by. The thief only got away with a gym bag of stinky clothes per the Agent. The Agent was elated that the trunk candy was intact as the paperwork involved sucks and the inspector General Special Agents are straight up alpha hotels about any lost property especially ID and weapons. So I am going to err on the side that the Agent did nothing wrong in storing the issued equipment and that the Garbage DA and SF city policies are to blame for all of it. I also remember years ago that the CHP was having similar issues so it happens. At least the SA didn't have his badge and gun stolen by a working girl in Reno like that Kensington, CA cop did awhile ago or didn't get 86'd from a Sacramento house party only to return to bust some caps like that COCO county Deputy did a few weeks ago.
