Came across this recently on their website which IMO dashes hope that they will sell to FFL03s in 2018.


Will SGAmmo ship my ammunition order to a New York State FFL holder ?
No, Sorry, Given the protocol for doing business in New York State after the safe-act was put in place we no longer do business there. We do hope that the law is eventually changed or removed to allow direct online sales of ammunition, but until it is legal for us to ship directly to the consumer in New York we will not be doing business there.

Hopefully I'm proven wrong, but I would think NY rules are similar to the new CA ones.

looks/sounds like SGA has taken a personal stance with regards to the restrictions for citizens and their purchasing of ammo

for example, if all gun manufacturers stopped selling non roster guns to LE, or limited them to 10 round magazines in the same manner which they are sold to California customers, maybe the roster would go away

i think that is what SGA is doing, not selling to anyone in NY until private citizens can buy in the same manner

I received an ammo order just last week from SGAmmo. No problems at all. I had tried to order the same ammo from Grab-a-Gun and they no longer ship to California.

Some online vendors are refusing to ship firearm parts to California too now.

The new CA ammo law does allow direct to consumer shipping...if you have an 03FFL+COE.

It will be interesting to see what SGAmmo has to say about that. I hope they allow shipment in those cases, because they are one of my favorite on-line ammo dealers.

I would check to see how SGammo handles shipments to Connecticut, since they have similar laws to Cali in 2018.

I buy from them, as do many others I know. I wonder what percentage of their business is from California.
