Repeal the Hughes amendment to FOPA '86 so machine guns are priced like semi-auto versions of the same gun plus the $200 transfer tax as they were before, not $30K for a HK because although the number of people who want machine guns has increased the supply hasn't. Repeal GCA 1968 so guns can cross state lines without FFLs collecting fees on the transfers.
Sure. True enough. But never gonna happen. And look at the other things that CA does that eliminates true free market. CA Smog Controls, CA *Special* gasoline, soon to be CA ammo sales, prob more I don't know about. No one's going to change that either.

And no one will buy those NES' either, so it all works out.

BTW, why would anyone pay hundreds for that gimmick console when you could have the original console and whatever games you want for a fraction of the price?

I am just going to assume anyone who complains about what people price their property at are upset because they cannot afford it, I can't think of any other reason to be bothered by it.

I am generally of the train of thought of you no like you no buy. However you can't afford it is a common and silly pro gouger argument and taunt.

I own darn near 400 firearms and I choose not to buy rape priced firearms or panic or impulse buy. Big difference between can't afford and won't be taken advantage of and being a savvy informed patient shopper.

I get that. I choose not to buy rape priced firearms as well. Do those prices upset you though? They don't upset me. Why should anyone be upset by them? The only logical answer would be someone wants the item badly but simply can't afford it so they get angry and complain.

I don't feel that is a "pro gouger argument" or a "taunt."

I get that if the gun model has been discontinued like the colt python.....but here I have seen a use 9mm Ruger LCR that is still in production for $575 used when you can buy one from Turners for $550 or Riflegear for $500

So here we go again, OP with 0 itrader, 40 posts, already complaining about prices on marketplace, why don't you complain on eBay?

Only other thing that comes to mind is they have the money, but didn't have the common sense to realize gun prices are in an upswing. Now they're butthurt since the $700 weapon is now north of $1500.

OP, if you don't like the price, pass on the deal...same as buying a house, car, groceries, or just about anything else. Don't like the Marketplace here, GTFO. Simple. If you posted your crap on arf or the FAL Files you'd already be banned. Attempt to act like a grown up.

I'm with Swan's comment, though I've got maybe around a quarter of what he has. Figure out first what you'd like to buy. Have the money to buy what you want. BE PATIENT.

Obviously I can afford to get bent over if I desire. However I don't like seeing predatory flippers taking advantage of their fellow shooters but it generally isn't my place to babysit people or tell grown men how to waste their money. Plus there is the rules of CGN to abide by that if we don't like we can go elsewhere.

Some things people cry about as gouging are more legitimate than others. I despise 22lr ammo flippers creating artificial shortages and taking advantage of their fellow shooters. However many off list handguns at high asking prices makes more sense. There is actual laws causing true shortages and high demand for many semiauto off roster handguns.

Really though nobody is going to die or be hurt because they can't get or afford a 4th gen Glock or the newest HK pistol. Just shoot something else.

Complete greed. We come on this site to learn, share, buy and sell firearm related items. Others come on here to tout gun rights in one breath and then try to rip others off in the next breath. The sad part is the "Powers to be" in tap talk condone it. It you don't believe me, just mention the high price or someplace you can get it cheaper (For the benefit of others) and you get your account suspended for thread crapping, etc. Many gun owners enjoy sticking together but that's only a small portion.

It's bad enough that the politicians try to screw us but, to do to each other is extremely sad.

What the heck is powers to be in tap talk? And what do they have to do with CalGuns???

About 2 months ago I would have agreed with you 100%. Until I commented on a high price a gun was being sold for and my account was temporarily suspended by the site administrator for "Thread crapping."

I had never heard of this before and had to look it up. At the end of the day it wasn't a big deal to me but nevertheless they still control what's being said. I was not disrespectful, did not use any profanity, nor was I condescending.

I've rarely seen a thread started that complains about the Wanted section. "WTB 22mag ammo, willing to pay $0.09/ round."
WTB Colt Python. Must be new in box and unfired. Under $1000."
Then you offer something at or even under the market price, you get a response on the lines of "an SKS used to be a $75 rifle, I'm not paying $400 for one. They should be $200 tops."
Well, I offered it for what people actually pay on Gunbroker, I'd be stupid to offer it for $200.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.
