Out of control use gun prices

Not to trash on someone's thread but dam....some of these people are selling current guns for more than what you can get brand new right now....

example: a new 700sps is around $600 yet i see the same gun go for sale here for $1200......with no scope.

I get that if the gun model has been discontinued like the colt python.....but here I have seen a use 9mm Ruger LCR that is still in production for $575 used when you can buy one from Turners for $550 or Riflegear for $500

What I find amusing is a gun shop I go to has a used rifle rack and the prices are a bit high on them I think .."their new gun prices are GOOD....but what is something I can't figure out is ....I have seen used rifles in there for more money than the exact same rifle NEW in the SAME STORE??????
I have even checked to make sure it was not due to a costly scope or anything.
Why would I buy that when I can get a new one cheaper at the same place?
Has anyone ever bought one from them I wonder?
I don't know ... it's weird ...... but whatever.
Other than this being what I find as an amusing oddity ..... I don't really see the point in being concerned about someone asking a high price.
Either guy will sell it and make out like a bandit ... or he won't.
