Homicide in Oxnard, CA

So there was a homicide right outside my window last night in Oxnard. Heard 5 shots and the body was found on the sidewalk. Crazy world!

I bought a house 20 years ago about two miles west of the OP's location where golf balls are the biggest hazard. When I was driving to the house with my parents, there was a crime scene with the requisite dead body near Vineyard and Ventura Road. My father, a retired Sheriff, made me pull over so he could check it out. When he got back in the car he had a big smile on his face and said it was only a gang banger and nothing to worry about. With prison realignment and Prop 47, there is a bit of a gang power struggle going on as released gang bangers try to reestablish their former territory.

Well it sure wasn't a suicide. It was bang bang quick pause bang bang bang so I'm going to guess it was a murder. Robbery at the least. Not many details out yet on the investigation besides the finding of the body and the 911 calls made.

North Oxnard used to be where the affluent people lived (all races). It's gone way downhill over the years and is now just a ghetto like the rest of Oxnard. Sadly, Ventura and Camarillo is slowly being invaded.

Probably a gang hit rather than a robbery.
