I am pretty positive the new glock is on the CA DOJ list because I remember checking that about 2 weeks ago. I know he wants a 9mm and I am really not too concerned with ammo because we literally have over 50 boxes of .223 and 9mm waiting for his arrival home. Our walmart is pretty good about staying stocked (helps when your in a small town) and any time i go there I get at least a few boxes to add to the collection.
I think I have decided that I am going to get him the g19 and if he comes home and decides he wants the new glock then he can buy it and I will keep the g19 (even though i have my little heart set on the Springfield XD.. yummy) and I will try to get one lower before he comes home.
Still I don't know what brand of lower to buy. What would happen if i was in the middle of the 10 day waiting period and the ban went into effect? I ask because that is just my luck!
Thank you guys again for helping me out =DComment

Good choice getting him the Glock. That's what he wants and you're willing to get it for him. Reminds me of when my girlfriend got me my TRP operator with the full-rail. We need more women like you two! As for the lowers, those can wait. If he decides to stay in the army and you two get married and get stationed out of CA, you can get him a real AR!
Either way, job well done macgurl.

Macgirl,
Tonycat is a very lucky guy. I'd give it a few weeks, no worries, he will be busy for awhile. You can't go wrong with the G19, but maybe he will want a different gun by the time he gets ready to come home. (guys are like that) BTW, I don't know where you are, but the Range in Fresno has plenty o' Glocks. When I came back from OIF-1 my dear wife had a 5" Ruger Redhawk in .44 mag waiting for me, that was nice!
BTW, if you need any assistance while he is away, my wife is in that line of work. She does Family Readiness for the Cal Guard, welcome to the family! PM if you need anything.Last edited by 11Z50; 01-31-2009, 9:15 PM.Comment
