Bless you...BTW I'm a strapping young lad who would love a lower.

But really, if he already has two lowers, I would think the glock would suffice, especially since he has been talking about it.

+100 for the footlocker of ammo.

Agreed. It's not a straw purchase by law, but I know of shops that will not sell a gun to someone if they mention that it is for someone else, even as a gift. I've even seen someone kicked out of a shop for doing exactly what the OP describes. A female walked in and asked to look at a gun, and said something to the effect that it was the one her boyfriend wanted. The shop owner told her to get out.

Just letting her know how I would do it, or I would want it to be done for me.

you really can't go wrong with a g19. If your norcal target masters west in milpitas ALWAYS has g19 in stock. When I bought mine they just pulled another one out from the back and some guy bought that while I was doing paper work. Then they pulled out another one.

You are such a good woman, this would bring a tear to my eye if my wife would do something like this. I wouldn't worry about a starw purchase, since you are doing a ppt it shouldn't apply to you. Also I would just get him the lower, with a lpk. Alot more fun to build your oll than to just hold the Glock out of the box.

It's a matter of preference, if he really wants a 19 then get him that. I have a 21 and love it and you can't really go wrong with any Glock.

In regards to the lowers I would get that also because won't be too long before they are banned.

I'd wait to see if he finishes BT. No sense giving a pistol to someone who goes away and comes back early.

Unless you just want to do something nice. But what does BT have to do with it if he doesn't finsih?

The Glock 19 is great, I have one and love it. But I also Love my Glock 23. The G19 is in 9mm, while the G23 is .40, which has more stopping power. These compact versions fit very well. Either way you can't go wrong. By the way, is the New Glock available in California? I mean, is it on the CA DOJ list of approved handguns?

You should consider the glock 23. That will fire 40 cal, Then he can get a 9mm conversion barrel for 80-100 bucks and he can shoot both 9mm and 40cal with only swaping out the barrel and mag. I have two glock 23's set up this way and are very reliable.
