What am I missing here:

"Beginning January 2018, state law generally will require that most ammunition sales (including Internet and out-of-state sales) take place through a licensed ammunition dealer. In addition, beginning July 2019, most California residents will be prohibited from bringing ammunition into the state without first having the ammunition delivered to a licensed ammunition dealer. Failure to comply with these requirements is a misdemeanor."

Start placing consistent internet orders you can afford now and by January, 2018 there will be no panic.

there are ways to keep your skills, like shooting air rifles / pistols, dry firing drills, etc

also simulators like what the police use for training

you could also set up a rifle rest at home and practice aiming through a scope and dry firing, just to keep yourself familiar with the sighting, and repetitive aiming

I remember reading about a combat pistol Champion from the Philippines that didnt have access to a lot of ammo for training, so he did lots of dry firing drills without ammo and he was still able to win during competitions.

I've been playing a VR game called London Heist to work on my trigger pull with hand eye coordination. Saves me from spending a lot on ammo and a drive plus the cleaning.

Even Cabela's trying to do the California hype lol. But I love Cabela's, I bought 1000rds of Blazer 9mm 115gr at $10.99 free shipping and used 20% off gift cards last week. Even Turner's has 9mm well stocked and onsale, albeit not as good as online obviously.

Yes I have noticed price increases, in particular on .38/.357 which I shoot a lot of. I'd suggest reloading if it's an option. Unless CA outlaws the purchase of gun powder you're OK.

Imagine you took a trip to Nevada. On the way back into California, you are stopped and for whatever reason your vehicle is searched. If you have 2000 rounds of 9mm ammo in your vehicle, would it be on the law enforcement agency to prove you bought it in Nevada or do we need to carry receipts on us at all times?

If i brought 3k rounds into Nevada, only shot 1k, and brought 2k back, is that illegal?
