Just a random thought since we dont know exactly what next year holds i just want to know what you guys think. So everyone is talking about registering your AR/AK's for the purpose of having a normal mag release, and others are saying f*ck registration just go featureless. So ive been thinking about how they would exactly know if i dont register it and i leave the "evil" features on it and have a regulaf mag release? I know if anything ever happened and they looked into the gun i would be f*cked but say im at the range and a cop sees my gun i can just say its registered and he would have no way of knowing right? Or you guys think this is still in the gray area and have to wait till the laws take effect?

Not positive about this as I have no RAW, but seems they carry paper work for that weapon, if you are asked for it & can not provide, end of your rights & freedom, do not pass go, & no $200.

Others will chime in that are in the know I'm sure. But I say don't do it if you place any value on your freedom.

It's not that they'd know when they see it, it's if anything happens; now you'd also tag on "(...) with an illegal assault weapon". It's the same reason why people don't already walk around with detachable standard capacity magazines and SBR's.

Other day I was at a range and a fully uniformed SDPD officer went walking through the firing line. He wasn't shooting, he was just walking around, hanging back behind the fire line, doing Lord knows what. Don't even think about breaking the laws, stupid as they may be...

but instead of towing your car [they confiscate your rifle] plus the charges for possession of a unregistered AW.

or going fishing without a license, they wont know until they check, and they will probably be more likely to check this time because of the new laws and magazine bans.

Lots of people do it and dont get caught, they cant catch everybody, just like driving without a license, etc.

but they normally dont check your driver's license for random checks, only during traffic stops.

It is often common after a new law passes that the Political Machine actively looks for people to make an example of. All the press about the guy who got the book thrown at them for a minor violation of the law does more to increase compliance then anything else.

Yea but my question is how would they enforce it? How would they know? Are people who register going to carry a special permit??? Like im not saying im going to do it just trying to make sense of this cloudy mess. Jesus christ i know if you get caught you would get the bent over and get the shaft what am asking is if anything has been said about how they will determine who owns AW and who doesnt. I highly doubt they will be running backround checks on everyperson they see with an AR so how will LEO enforce these new laws? Doesnt seem possible possible to determine whos registered and whos not unless they get a permit to carry around because if they dont then anybody can just take off a BB which to me seems to contradict these retarted laws

Idk im just saying seems to good to be true that they want to get rid of AR so they limit so much **** to the point where we cant even have a collapsible stock but if you register it as an AW we can have them they way theyre intended to be made? Idk just doesnt make sense

That is an excellent excellent question. How would they know?. How do they know where all the guns are that were never registered in the very first registration scam many years ago?. How would they know how many continue to pour in from every other state?. We don't want them to know, therefore many of us will act in a massive show of passive civil disobedience and do nothing at all about registration or high capacity mags. This will legitimize the fears of these statist oligarchs, to reify their worst nightmares and to assure them that the deepest elements of the gun culture will never be restrained.
