Why would u shoot into nowhere?

Shooter fires into foggy forest with known trails. These sort of idiots give gun owners a bad rap.

That's scary- not just hearing gunshots, but also the crack of the passing bullet! I thought the guy might've been a bit hysterical in the way he described the situation (I've personally heard people say "I heard a gunshot so they were shooting at me!") but, as I began watching the video, some miscreant was actually firing into the fog and disregarding where the rounds might end up. Idiot shooter should be stripped and left for the mosquitos and bears. I have no tolerance for stupid people.

Absolute morons, and unfortunately, quite a few instances like this have been reported in Washington over the past couple of years. My experiences are that in counties where you used to be able to drive shortly into the woods and find a safe shooting spot, there now seems to always be a house just through the woods. Insofar as safe shooting locations - a gun range that was existing from the 1920's(?) has almost been closed by the decision of a judge that had to have the definition of 50 BMG explained to her several times by the prosecutors (the county) as she deemed its operations a public nuisance.

People fire guns in the air on July 4th and New years eve too.

        People are stupid.

Think this is bad? Stop by some of the popular BLM spots in southern California during prime time Saturdays. I've seen ****

Never taking my life in my hands like that again.

Those mountain bikers were lucky they didn't learn a hard lesson that yelling at a moron with a gun isn't a good idea. They acted like a bunch of hysterical Nancy boys.

Edited: I seriously doubt they were being shot at based off their "evidence."

So I assume you would calmly walk toward the gun fire and very politely ask them to stop?

Have to agree. Dude with the gun was an idiot, and the mountain bikers were a bit "emotional." Yes the shooter was a retard, doesn't mean you have to let your inner schoolgirl out.

Do we know this incident wasn't staged ? Just saying!
That said each of us has an obligation to shoot in a safe manner and coach other shooters in firearm rules.

It's WA. If I lived in WA, I would've carried while mountain biking and fire some shots in the back stop to answer back. Or carry a whistle.

I have had shots whistle by me while walking in the woods as well. I wouldn't recommend crapping your pants and running full speed at the same time.
It was just an old plywood boat, with a '75 Johnson, with electric choke. A young boy, two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel.

I remember going up the the now defunct Middle Range up Angeles Crest years ago and there was some moron doing mag dumps with a FAL into a big rock that he was 8 feet away from. I just turned the car around and left. Not much has changed.
