So it's hot three months out of the year, CA is a socialist haven 12 months a year and getting worse. If the only thing about CA that bothers you are the 2nd amendment issues, then by all means stick around and enjoy your freedom.

Just because some of you live in ghetto dosent mean I do. The biggest problem with CA is pompous :-|holes, but since you are leaving I have one less to dislike. Good luck in the oven pal. By the way, the restrictions will hit there too soon enough. You can't run and hide forever.

I didn't mean to imply you lived in the ghetto...but if you don't I'm sure your home values are sky high for what you get (orinda, Lafayette, la morga etc etc...) No one can argue it's expensive, and I did take advantage and cashed out.

It seems to me that we'd be better off spending our energy working together on our similarities than trashing each other over wanting to move, or not, away from oppressive legislators and judges.

The Second Amendment violations that most of us on this site dislike, are only a symptom of an underlying sickness which has infected modern society by years of the Left wing agenda in schools, the main stream media bias, and elitist Socialist leaning politicians who believe that they know better how you should live your life, than you do. This sickness is the belief that the government has not only the authority, but the moral imperative to protect you from yourself. This results in overreaching government, which intrudes in your life in many ways, not just the clear violations of your right to self preservation by restricting the right to bear arms. Those who point to problems other than 2A issues as a reason to leave California are correct - these violations exist and result in infringements of freedom and wealth confiscation (aka egregious taxes). Is it right to leave? Only they can answer that. It does seem to me, however, that no mater where you go, at some point in the near future, the battle will be there too.

Got a question for you guys if I currently have a CCW and I move to a county say for instance San Diego which is a unlikely issue, will already having one help me or benefit me or am I Sol. Obviously I hope it helps and I have a feeling it does not matter

I'm sorry, but you are in denial in thinking that a few more conservatives in your area will somehow stem the tide of idiocy that vomits out of Sacramento.

There is no hope for Commiefornia since the politicians have learned how to buy the votes of the ill informed with other peoples money. The liberal strongholds of the Bay area, along with LA and Sacramento/Stockton will continue to drive the states' politics ever more leftward.

At this point in time it is incumbent on YOU to consider saving what you can of your liberties and money and leave that cesspool in your rear view mirror.

You may be quite right. I; however, am willing to give it a go. Futile? Maybe, but I don't care at this point. I will not roll over. The State of Jefferson may indeed be a pipe dream, but you cannot win if you do not play.

My brother and I own land in the State of Jefferson (small patch). Giving it to my three adult kids who are ecstatic over the deal.

Wife and I live in Mendocino County where the Sheriff is a solid 2A supporter. Anybody who runs for Sheriff would get shredded by the various influential groups around here if they are not confirmed 2A and CCW supporters (Mendocino Farm Bureau and Ukiah Gun Club for starters).

We are cool with all that and will never consider leaving California for too many reasons to list here.

I hear this line a lot from die hard californians to make themselves feel better. Federal gun control has to get past congress. Red states are strengthening gun laws and won't enforce federal bans. But go ahead and enjoy your socialist utopia.
