When I got promoted into engineering, my boss asked my first day if I owned a gun.
I responded "Ya, just a little Springfield 9mm"

4 years later after going shooting with him a few times and allowing him to borrow several, and him telling me that it took 3 trips in his Tundra to take all of his guns to the cops when his ex slapped an RO on him, he finally commented "So when I asked you if you had a gun, you made it sound like you only had one"
