L&G Weaponry has been selling a golf ball launcher for years, and he's located in California.

OK, I call BS. How is that not legal in CA? I mean, because it's bigger than a .50 caliber?

As a new comer (08) there have been threads in the past on this subject. Check the law. I'm sure it is NOT legal here. you can own but not use here I believe. Has to do with caliber size.

Why do you think you can't use it?

Bingo. They won't ship hardly anything to CA. No black powder/muzzleloaders (legal), no archery (legal), no knives (legal).

SG sucks, and they spam the $#!+ out of you.

Either tell me why it's not legal, or stop talking.

Golf ball launcher = perfectly legal.

I suppose it's all up to CA DOJ's expert firearms witness to say that golf ball launcher isn't an illegal flash suppressor.

How they can call the obsolete Luchaire rifle grenade launcher on the MAS-49/56 a grenade launcher but not determine that golf ball launcher isn't a grenade launcher as well is beyond my understanding.

it should be fine. my a buddy next door has a cannon that shoots golf balls. a good golfer could most likely drive a ball harder and farther than that thing could shoot.
