Moving In With Inlaws issue

Unless you have any that are irreplaceable, maybe sell them all but one and keep it in a portable safe bolted inside your vehicle. When business picks up, you'll get to buy new guns! The only thing better than shooting guns is buying guns!

You didn't say how much space your new business needs but years back I knew a guy and his wife who started a machine shop. They needed 1200 ft for the shop but leased a 2000 ft and bought a good used bigger trailer and lived in that inside the shop. Said it was the best thing they ever did money wise.

The in-law thing can break up family relationships very fast... Been there...on both sides. My first marriage also ended in divorce and living with the in-law was a major, major factor. (mother-in-law with us)

I suggest before you do the move, you and the wife need to have a long sit down and agree that either of you can call it quits with living in the in-laws house at any time, no reason, plus have a agreed upon thirty day bailout plan.

I and others are telling you it's 85% there will be problems.

Is there enough room in your new business to make part of it a home for now?
I like the idea of getting a trailer (said above) and live in that for 1-2 years.
Living under the nearest bridge is better that with the in-laws no matter how well you get along!

Really depends on how your in laws are??? If besides the gun thing they are chill people it could work out for 2 years... Won't be perfect but it ll have to be a conpromise for two years..

Put them in a large packing box and tape it up. You could write something like miscellaneous tools or something like that. Put it under your bed and you are done.

If your in-laws want to be this forceful with you now, well you are in for a rough ride. Their house, and their rules - you better get used to it before you move all your belongings in. If it were me, I'd wait a little longer and save up before having to move in. Next thing will be you washing all the diner dishes and cleaning the bathrooms. I have a guess that you will be staying at work a little longer as time goes on. One last note, are they afraid of the guns or are they afraid of you.

2. I figured it would go without saying that my suggestion of a "portable safe" would infer keeping a handgun.

3. Even if the law doesn't get vetoed, he would still be able to buy a featureless AR.

4. The point was to free up some cash while complying with the inlaws' house rules, and still have access to at least one gun nearby in case it's needed.

Before judgement, how's your relationship with the in laws? If it's positive work out a compromise. If negative, then put the guns in your business building.
