Office should be fine unless it's in the ghetto or something. There is no law that requires you notify DOJ of a change of address...at least that I'm aware but I wouldn't put anything past the legisexuals in Sacramento at this point.

As for the in-law situation, I wish you the best of luck. That doesn't sound like anything I could do but I respect what you're trying to do here. If I were doing this, however, I would probably have a very long and thorough conversation with the wife about what to expect, what your concerns are and boundaries. Like maybe the two of you agree that no matter the situation, you will never fight in front of them.

Haha. Moving in with the in laws is fun....said no one ever. We moved in with them to save for our wedding. I'm not a fan of even visiting after that. Good luck

Don't do it!! Biggest mistake of my life...now divorced thanks to them.

I can understand the need to save money while you build the business. We lived in a 25 ft used (trashed) travel trailer in a field for a year and a half while I build mine.


But I would never move in with the in-laws, ever, never. All it took was the first wife getting a job with her parents to poison our marriage. You will give up your man card the moment you become beholding to them and no woman will respect a man with no man card. I wouldn't even barrow a dime from my on-laws. Not even from the second wife's cool ones.

DON't do it. Find another way.You will be glad you did.

In fact if either of my daughters married someone I didn't want around the first thing I would do is offer them to move in with us. Guarantee that relationship wouldn't make it a year.

If you don't own the building that your business is in, READ and UNDERSTAND your lease. In one of the leases that I had, stated "NO Firearms". You could be in violation of the lease and forced out but still be liable for your lease obligation for the duration of the lease term.

You need to psychologically prepare yourself for the experience. Like what will you do when things at work and at home are tense, which will happen. Plan ahead for outlets otherwise it's going to be a long 2 years.

I would say work out a compromise if this is your only option. For instance, when my wife and I had to move in with her parents (for mutual financial reasons), I had a problem with my father-in-law smoking in the house. It wasn't that he smoked, because I do also, but because the kids would be in the house and have to deal with it. I told him that if we were to move in, that would have to stop. He said no. We eventually worked it out where he would smoke in his room only with the doors and vents closed and the windows open, even in winter. What I'm getting at is, perhaps you can work out having your firearms in your room only and locked up. Be sure to emphasize that it is a compromise on both sides that respects both points of view.
