Modest collection, no reloading stuff, live well within my means, and I find OHOD incredibly sexy.

      I was doing good until

The Suntech Kurenai rods are the closest I've found to being the perfect rods for little wild trout in little wild streams.

Own a home, own guns, have kids.

Home is nearly paid off, POS that it is. Guns are nothing special, i.e., Rock Island 1911 vs. Kimber. Kids are all out on their own finally, so things may change. Example: grocery bill is now next to nothing.

We might buy a new car for the first time ever, and/or keep buying silver.
Just taking up space in (what is no longer) the second-worst small town in California.

I live within my means outside times of panic. After some schmuck stole my long guns from my storage unit I went without because I didn't have enough insurance coverage.

During the panic of 2012, I replaced my .223, and may have picked up extra receivers.

During the panic of 2016, I replaced my .308 with something nicer, and may have picked up extra receivers.

With the Sacramento shenanigans going into effect on 1/1/2017, I may need to follow a one-gun a month policy to lay in a lifetime supply.

My bills are paid, my kids have college funds, we pay 1K/month over our mortgage to have it paid off several years early. Shooting is one of my hobbies, and I treat is as such. I have all the firearms I want, and probably much more than I need lol. As a husband and father it would be irresponsible of me to put my family in financial peril to buy what are basically toys.

No kick-butt collection here - just a couple of Sig P226s, P226 22LR adapter, and a couple Kahrs. So basically just two ammo types (9mm and 22LR) and three magazine types.

Ages ago I went hog wild on 10 speed racing bikes, but in the end learned one only needs a decent 10 speed bike and a rider in excellent shape. I think the same applies to firearms - small collection which you use and shoot well is all that is needed to enjoy the sport (and for self-defense, if ever needed).

My house isn't much but it's paid off. Small collection since my ex stole my old collection.

My wallet is raped monthly by insurance companies and BHOcare taxes. Spend more on insurance than anything else.

You need N+1 for the 10 speeds, Italian, campy, touring, go fast, rain, mountain, beater, Merckx, Ciocc, N + 1. I am just getting over my sickness, you need a Panto,Campy, Torelli? 57 cm? Just joking.

I'd get a lot of "meh" from our guys.
