Condo gun storage?

Hi, moving to a condo soon... I own 5 rifles, and 8 handguns.... My safe can not go with me to the condo.... Need advice on storage

Why ? Was the safe weight too heavy ? What about gun cabinet? It's lighter compare most gun safe

Yeah safe is to heavy.... Can't bolt it down etc...... Been looking at those wall mirror safes

Have you looked at jobsite tool boxes? You may not be able to bolt it down, but you can add weight to it to make it harder to steal - or chain it to something.

They make those under the bed safes that lay flat under your bed and the door slides out. Has a heavy duty security cable of some sort. I know not the best option. But since you can't have a normal gun safe.

I own one of these... It's a heavy duty safe. It's fireproof, unlike the locking cabinets from other companies.

It comes, shipped to your door, in pieces. You carry the pieces into your condo, one at the time, and then bolt the pieces together with the supplied hardware. Once complete, it looks like a standard safe from the outside and you can bolt it to the floor, if you like.

Also, their customer service is outstanding. One of my friends ordered one. It was delivered and one of the pieces was dented. He called and complained. They sent him a new safe. He said, "How will i ship this dented one back to you?" They said, "Keep it! Sorry for the inconvenience." Now he has two, for the price of one... (The dented one still works perfectly, and the dent is on the back side. You can't even see the dent.)

Jobsite box with a blanket or quilt over it and some cushions. Condo association
Does not need to know what's inside. No restrictions for a earthquake ottoman.

You could get something like this and bolt it to the wall (in your closet) behind your hanging clothes...

Just ordered 2 of those under the bed safes ink..... I figure I can bolt them together back to back, and hopefully have enuff room...... I really don't want to sell any of my baby's. Lol

Better yet, put a refrigeration unit into the safe, then you can keep your food and guns in it.

I'm think about getting one of those under the bed units, but I can bolt it to the underside of the bed the way my bed frame if made.

If you have kids, I would go with a CA approved option....


Tell us about your safe????? Most RSC's are light enough that they work with all dwellings.

If you have a commercial rated safe, do you have a private garage or just a common carport?

I would just buy a steel gun locker (wallyworld type) and then I would lag bolt it to some studs inside a closet. Later you can just patch the holes and paint the closet wall when you leave. These metal lockers are not safes but if you add a nice heavy latch they are adequate for the situation you describe. I just wouldn't use one of these for any guns not covered by your insurance.
