How about a trip to Haiti

and a double prescription of Viagra?

I like the .50 idea though. May be hard to do with the California views on rifles that can shoot airliners down.

Youth and agility is soon replaced by old age and misery.

To me birthdays are just like any other day. I am pushing 50 myself and have been doing what I want with my life daily since I was in my mid 20's. And not all my choices have been good ones.

So if the big fiddy means something special to you...then GO BIG and get what you have always wanted.

      Oh...and happy birthday!

      .
Bring hay for my horse....wine for my men....and mud for my turtle!

What do you hear ???...... Nothing but the rain. Well grab your gun and bring in the cat.

              .
30 [more] years of good health...
That is a great and wise sentiment, especially coming from a Glock guy. LOL.

              Kidding. Nice thought.

I was thinking along similar lines when it occurred to me to say, "Forget the Viagra. How about the gift of making it the rest of your dick-carrying days successfully without the drug!" ...but that's too wordy.

I have no idea how to advise you in which path to take in your .50BMG adventures.

But I have a B-day coming up in the next few days and I'd like to, in my 6th Decade of Existence, regain some of the physical conditioning I have had in the past then attend several classes (pistol, then rifle, shotgun, etc) at Gunsite over a period of time.

Either way, Happy Birthday to you, my shooting colleague. FIFTY! is a big deal!

Good health for the next 30 and that they don't go as fast as the first 50.

                  You guys are awesome!

Leave it to CGN to give me 3 replies to my gun question, and 18 "other". Good thing I didn't ask this in OT! Did a .45 for 45th, so .50 seems logical.

So if you get a .50 cal - what will you get when you turn 60: a .60 cal?

You clearly need to get a Deagle in .50, but it has to start as the .44 mag, then you can buy your extra barrel for around $500-$600

Then you should buy 500 rds of ammo and pick up your brass when you are done and mosey over to the reloading forum and we will help you fill the cases back up...

I turn 50 in September. I'm asking for my Constitutional freedoms back. I think I'm going to be disappointed.

Now that's a good idea. When I was a youngster I had no desire to take so much time and trouble shooting, but I find in the later years it's a lot of fun to basically toodle along in the slow lane at 60 mph, metaphorically speaking.
