    Keep your firearms.

Regardless of what the state does, you must hang on to as many weapons and as much ammunition as possible. Avoid getting arrested. For those who consider themselves law abiding, do as much as you can without violating the letter of the law.

We are entering a time of increasing uncertainty. Look at this link.

With the potential of major terrorist attacks, civil unrest, earthquakes and other major upsets to society, there may be a time soon when those that preserved their weapons will be glad they did. At that time all the laws of the state of California will mean nothing.

Just look at the unrest and violence this election cycle. Imagine the same level of lawlessness across the country all at once with the police unwilling to stop it.

Figures... just after I lost everything in that unforeseen boating accident. Maybe I'll just buy some extra antivirus software.

Everyone worries about the SHTF moments, but when it ends up where the "state" can no longer respond (or is no longer willing to), those who are armed will be the ones who are safe.

Umm... hope you all have your own personal fire department. Guns are great but if the laws go kaput that means public services are gone. And anyone that has lived in CA for any length of time knows that wildfires can burn easily and it requires a lot of resources to put one out. The entire state would literally burn if there was some kind of SHTF situation.

Note that those who have repeatedly expressed enough vile and incoherent content as to render your views irrelevant, have been placed on my ignore list. Thank you for helping me improve my experience and direct my attention towards those who are worthy of it. God bless your toxic little souls.

brush/forest fires are natural part of life and is needed.

why do you think pine cones evolved to only open under extreme heat to release their seeds?

That's true. A gun won't do anything to fight a fire. But in an emergency situation I would rather have access to a firearm than not. Look at some of the hurricanes in the South.

Lakes are to shallow unless of course you were on Lake Tahoe. Turlock is not that far from the Delta and someone could get really lost out there - damn we were lucky to find our way out after a night of dead end sloughs and boating around in circles, I couldn't tell you where we were when the ex wife started throwing my guns overboard.

In other words, after this crap passes, don't take your guns to the range.
You will de facto live in a State with gun laws that are more oppressive than Canada's.

                            Truth.
