Only regret selling my first handgun, a Glock 22. After adding several others it sat in the safe for awhile and on a whim I put it on consignment at my LGS. Changed my mind after a couple of days and went to retrieve it and it was sold that morning.

Not a big deal just would liked to have kept it because it was the first.

A lot of the guns I passed on that I thought were too expensive would've been fun to have but the only time I've lost fun and money was not buying a case of the AK-47s when they were first being imported and sold through a lot of distributors in the old shotguns newsmagazine.
everyone then thought they were junk, only to realize now those were good guns and worth more than they were asking for them.
They were a good deal even if you bought just one but a lot less if you bought a case / pallet.
I should've found in FFL to split a pallet and we both would've made out like bandits in the long run.

Don't even get me going about the crates of cheap military surplus ammo.

MOST other single guns you can hunt down if you're willing to pay a premium.

Except things like heirlooms, like that 1911 mentioned above, That have a strong family connection.

I have no regrets about getting rid of things, their just things. Now, there are a few chicks I regret not banging, and a couple I really regret banging, because they turned out to be insane, and I had to pry them off.

Sometimes the insane ones are the fun ones, for awhile at least. But at the end of the day, I've never regretted getting laid.

Keeping it to guns, I also regret not buying a Colt Trooper at a LGS for about $300 just a few years ago. Snooze=lose. Maybe that's not a regret so much, since other revolvers fill that role. But what a steal. I guess I lament over a poor decision there. That might not be the same as regretting a trade of a gun I did own.

I don't sell anything, But I do regret not buying a beautiful Russian AK when my FFL offered one of his. I didn't know anything about AKs in 2009, dang.

Regret selling my P229 9mm and .40s&w to fund new ARs. But was happy to get rid off Glock 19 and 22.

Selling three Colt SAAs and a Colt Bisley and a Pocket Auto .38; selling all my SW N frames (civilian 1917 .45, .38/44 heavy duty, .44 hand ejector, early model 28, 25-5 .45 Colt); and my 1960s Browning High Power. Each one seemed to be the right thing to do at the time.

For $600. Dang Bob. I have 11 registered assault weapons that I cannot give to my adult kids. That makes me angry.

Mine was letting go of a real nice 22 Jet with the inserts for 22 mag, my "buddy"-no longer my buddy, was after that gun for 20 years, I made him a heck of a deal on it, to find out 6 weeks later he sold it for a major profit.

Lesson learned...even my "buddies" will pay the price now...let them hold it for 20 years and make their profit.
