Files for Ghost gunner

So um... moon labia or something. -
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Ghost Gunner basically just a mini CNC machine? What's stopping you from just making your own g-code?Comment

They just released "Sequential Serialization Code" at jwinceptions.comMy interest in the Ghost Gunner was to serialize and label my lowers. I went to DD to purchase the software to engrave numbers, they currently do not have a program available to change your numbers. They will sell you a file with one serial number only. I ended up at jwinceptions.com, and they offer code to engrave guns with the Ghost Gunner but it is not able to change numbers, therefore it is necessary to buy code for each serial number. A very expensive option. The moral of the story is I was unable to find code to engrave serial numbers with the Ghost Gunner.
Yes only two post... not much to say.Comment

$1,200.00 will buy a very, very nice home milling machine. Anderson lowers, I've paid as little at $37.00 THIS YEAR and in past years no more than $49.00 plus DROS and tax. People have been very successful making 80's in 100's with many available jigs including the disposable Polymer 80 brand (I have one) using a drill press and router. Why spend $1,500.0 on a one trick pony?I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

To some, the minor cost of the machine is worth the ease (and quality) of the machining process. Drop in a raw receiver, press go, and come back in 2.5 hours for a pile of shavings and switch out the fixture for OP 2. Press go again and go on with your day and evening knowing you'll be coming back to a finished receiver that looks identical to the previous 50 you did. You don't have to douche the garage (or bedroom for that matter) with an air compressor and vacuum up the aluminum after the router made it look like Elton John and David Bowie had a glitter bomb war. As mentioned, one benefit is the ability to cut anywhere: garage, bedroom, apartment, kitchen, even in the back of a Suburban if you wanted. With very, very little spill of aluminum. Put the GG on a cookie tray and it's pretty much self contained.
I've seen the difference between router and GG completed product. Not the same. But again, to each his own.Comment

I have the original files. I am hesitant to distribute them for the same reasons that DD will no longer directly supply them and that is they were warned that doing so would run afoul of the build party prohibition where the ATF would consider it manufacturing. I may be wrong, but I do have the files. The initial files from what I recall had minor flaws that needed updating. Since I do not own a Ghost Gunner, I cannot verify the integrity of the files.
On another note, one of my soldiers has a robotic prosthetic arm and he jokingly questioned that if he tuned the trigger finger to pull a trigger at over 500 rounds per minute, would that be considered a machinegun? His robotic fingers are slow so I doubt he was serious.sigpicNRA Life Member***I have not and will not ever comply****Comment

That's pretty cool of you to write that. A lot better than the $100 a job the other guy wants. I would like to see how it comes out.If anybody is still interested, engraving options are here: https://ghostwriter.serverrack.netLast edited by jessdigs; 07-08-2018, 1:48 PM.Comment

A lot of people have had VERY positive results. I'd love to see some of what you guys can do with it. I'm not in California myself, but want to support the good fight out there.
