It's a long explanation Mr.Blazito, the very high overview of it is the "Federal Government" is nothing more than a corporation based in Washington DC whose jurisdiction is 10 square miles, or a bit more if they acquired more land since 1871. The Act of 1871 (“the act”) formed a "government" for Washington DC. Along with that, the 14th Amendment was purportedly passed to grant freed slaves citizenship. Prior to the 14th Amendment, all people were sovereign people of the sovereign states they lived in and there was no such thing as a "federal" or "us" citizen. The freed slaves should have simply become citizens of the state they lived in, but government never misses an opportunity, so a new class of "citizen" was created - government citizens.

So many things have been done and so much time has now passed that it is assumed and you are treated as a federal "US" citizen, even if you are not per definition. Hardly anyone knows this. The original "organic" united States of America has been replaced with a series of corporations that now control you. The original US Constitution isn't even used anymore. The original Constitution reads "Constitution for the united States..." The constitution today reads "Constitution of the United States." Totally different document. The constitution was created for a number of not noble reasons, chief among them was the ability to tax.

The original organic united States of America that you thought you were living in still exists, but hardly anyone lives there anymore.

America was perfectly formed after Declaration of Independence and the Articles of Confederation. All the rights of people are spelled out in those documents. No "Constitution" was or is needed to fulfill the freedom and Sovereignty of this country, and the Constitution has actually only served to intentionally obfuscate facts and Truth. You have no rights in or guaranteed by the constitution. The Constitution merely limits what government can do (remeber the 19 enumerated powers?), but the States at the time felt it wasn't enough so they tacked on the Bill of Rights Amendment just to make sure the government never did what it is doing today.

Because America was formed on and from the Common Law, the foundational law still is the common law. There has been and is an attempt to overlay Roman Civil Law (Justinian Code) over the common law and good luck trying to find a clean simple common law court today - they don't exist anymore but you can still access and use the common law.

The government operates legally, if not "lawfully" by having tricky legal definitions and complex complicated systems known only to a few. Most basic is that all statutes and codes are for US Citizens which are defined as "persons" living in or on Federal Territories on work for the government. Remember hearing that the income tax was voluntary and based on voluntary compliance? Well, it is if you are not a US citizen, but when you apply for SSN, register to vote or sign any document as a "US Citizen" or accept any benefit (consideration) from the US Government Corporate Entity you enter into a contract with it and, in essence, apply for citizenship with the corporation in Washington DC - whose jurisdiction is 10 square miles - and enter into a government services contract with that corporation and waive (contract away) all your rights as a Sovereign Man. You are then turned from a free living being into a corporate construct that is owned and controlled by a corporation. This is why your name is always spelled in all caps on legal documents. All caps indicate a legal entity. You show you and say this entity is you and assume all liability and responsibility for that legal construct.

Anyway, there is much more to it that will never be taught in school, on PBS or an HBO specal, and your ignorance virtually guarantees its ultimate success where no man has any rights (or guns) in the future. You have seen the "incremental creeping socialism" in your time. You have seen how children are educated in the government owned public school system. You have seen courts where nothing resembling justice or fairness exists. You know something is wrong but can’t quite identify or define it. Well, this is it. You know where this is all headed, you just don't know how it is legally being accomplished or how to legally stop it. There is a remedy, but it takes a few of us and it takes some study, but what the hell else you got to do with the rest of your life?

Sorry guys. I truly and genuinely apologize. I know I am coming off harsh. I'm really not an *******, though I know I can sound like one (so my wife informs me, occasionally). It's just I am constantly exposed to this stuff and know things almost no one knows. My interest in the Ghost Gunner was to serialize and label my lowers. I went to DD to purchase the software to engrave numbers, they currently do not have a program available to change your numbers. They will sell you a file with one serial number only. I ended up at jwinceptions.com, and they offer code to engrave guns with the Ghost Gunner but it is not able to change numbers, therefore it is necessary to buy code for each serial number. A very expensive option. The moral of the story is I was unable to find code to engrave serial numbers with the Ghost Gunner.

I don't know why you would buy a $1500 niche router to mill lower receivers when you can buy a desktop cnc or build a diy cnc for <$1000 and probably get the same results with the benefit of having it be general purpose. There are tons of guides and models out there to make what you want, shouldn't take too long to get a good enough understanding of it.

You can do the code to engrave the serial yourself. I don't have any experience with it but a quick look and it looks like something easily accomplished.

I have looked into the engraving also. It looks like You could design the drawings/engraving on CAD software (download the free version of TurboCAD or similar) and a get a DXF g-code generators. It looks like Autodesk Fusion is good for compiling G-Code to perform different milling operations, the problem is that the 80% lower is not going to be in the exact same place every time, which means that you have to write code for the probing operation to establish the limits etc. The code for probing included from DD is for milling the FCG and selector/trigger pins. It's not the same that is used for engraving. It looks like Greek to me.

I am going to look into it more, but I think paying for one engraving program would be worth it to get the probing code required for engraving, and then supplement your own engraving code instead of the one you paid for the next time. I have never written code before, this is all stuff that I read up on a while ago but I think it is worth a try. I have a friend who is/was a machinist and used used to write code for a shop, but now he is a mechanic that works on CNC machines. He could probably help me with it to get going.

Cheapest lowers at LGS was 135.00 for Andersons. But then, I actually spent gas checking it out personally. Not some intrawebz search.
Anything with a name other than Anderson was in the 160.00 to 180.00 range, locally of course. And those were not the expensive ones.
