Something like a safe would be hard to sell on GB. Craig's list is a better option.

Pricing has to be realistic too.

I know three people looking for a gun safe. Place it here at least.

It will sell & someone will pickup using Craigslist. Proper price, it will move. I've used it for as long as its been up.

When he says "unload my safe," he does not mean "sell my safe."

He means "empty my safe." He's selling guns, not a safe.

I'm not trying to be a D but why would someone pay you the same price or more than what a new Glock 31 could be purchased for? Only reason might be someone trying to buy PPT to avoid 1 a month law. Also many people don't want a 357 sig.

The G31 is truly mint condition. Stippling is still rough, no barrel wear, etc. same as you would buy it straight from the shop.

Gunbroker is OK. Great place to unload some guns. Go for it. Trick is to set opening bid low enough to whip up some Auction Fever among the bidders.

Yep. CG Marketplace is full of buyers familiar with, and willing to pay, CA premium prices. If you can't attract that batch of buyers, price is probably unreasonable.

This. If you're not selling Glocks to Californians, then you're going to have trouble selling to people in free states who are used to much lower prices.

Between the fees that GB charges and the hassles of mailing a gun, I'd just lower prices until it sold on the CG marketplace.

Another option is Lock, Stock & Barrel in Simi Valley. The guns are sold via auction and they take 20% commission. They have a national audience like GB.

And yes, they can sell your safe, too, if you want

I have sold on Gunbroker and my policy now is that any gun worth less than $800 I will not bother with it. Too much hassle to get a buyer. get the info to ship the gun and make sure I do not have to send via a FFL dealer to send the gun. This adds times and money.
Then subtract the fees from Gunbroker and my profit gets cut into.
The straw that broke the camels back was when I sold a $400 pistol, then had to ship through a FFL costing me an extra $35 over what I calulated when I listed the add (because I had not thought to add to my Gunbroker for sale listing that sending through a FFL would require extra for shipping). Then the dealer on my end shipped via UPS ground and the gun got lost in limbo for almost two weeks. In the end it worked out but I decided that unless I do FTF sale I will just keep my pistols that are worth under $800.

Also, maybe it is just me but I will not bid on/buy a gun from an online site (auction or otherwise) without a predefined shipping price, or at least a shipping price cap. So the "buyer pays actual shipping costs" is a deal breaker.

So now I look at what the gun(s) would be worth in a free state and then list that pistol/rifle for that price if I want a quick sale. None of those shenanigans where the sale price equals my cost (price, tax, gas costs and DROS) and that is what I need to get for a used gun, shot or not.

If I am not very interested in selling, just trying to see what I can get, then I list for "off roster", "hard to get" jacked up prices.

It is not hard to sell guns here for a reasonable price.

Years ago one of the car lot sales guys had a pair of cars he would mark down $3 a day till sold.
People would drive by just to see where the price was today and maybe stop and check whats new on the lot.
He got Way more than $3 a day in advertising.

Hate to disagree but a used gun is a used gun. It is not worth that of a new gun - let alone more. Doesn't matter how good the 'used' condition is. Guns don't appreciate when you use them.

That being said, you're entitled to a fair price. The G31 is like new and should come in close to a new one, but a little less.

PS. The 21SF is a cool gun with a nice signature, but not "Brand New". Even one round fired (outside of the factory) means used.

Sell here and 0%. Sell on Gunbroker yourself and about 3%. All LSB does is put it online like you can do yourself. No live action in front of an audience in conjunction with proxibid.

What's funny to me is that as a Glock collector, I've been looking for them in oddball, unpopular calibers.

But I found that sellers wanted $200 over the cost of new guns that were still on roster that nobody else wanted! So I had to modify my ad to point out the new cost so I wouldn't keep getting these ridiculous offers.
