It would be a toss up between my ar with a few different uppers or my mossy 500 and the different caliber inserts last would probably be my glock 22 with the 9mm 357 sig. But it depends on the situation and accessibility but these are the ones I have the most mags ammo and training with.

AK. They are so simple, they survive in all kinds of SHTF areas of the world. I can build one in about 8 hours if I have the parts. 16 if I don't. I know the platform inside out. Ammo is easy to get or make. Very little goes wrong with them and they are easy to maintain. And they can be hidden very easily.............

If I could only own one firearm period it would be an AR15. One handgun period would be a G17.

              AR15. Versatility.
It was just an old plywood boat, with a '75 Johnson, with electric choke. A young boy, two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel.

AR-15.....home defense, short/middle/long range fun, plenty of parts/ammo, accuracy.

                  It's a trap!

"Gun owners say they only need one gun. CA dems currently writing 'one-gun-for-life' bill."
It doesn't matter how scary, ugly, uncomfortable, or inconvenient self defense can be. Like it or not, you will never, ever be relieved of your duty and responsibility to defend your life, your family, your country and your freedom.

How much ammo do I need? Enough to last me the rest of my life, and then lot more for later.

for an all-uses, right now rifle, I would keep a FAL STG58. If I could have it with a match barrel (it is a little MOA challenged, but for all practical purposes a get'er done'r. Out of my g'rage it would have to be that.
I would miss the rest. But the FAL will pass the test.

Sig 2022 9mm. Polymer frame to last against elements. Steel to steel contact to ensure longevity - especially if fancy oils and grease are not available. Accurate. Reliable (3000+ rounds without a failure of any kind so far with mine) and durable. Beyond that, a Mossberg 500/590 Mariner shotgun would be good too.
