Tactical Gloves Yay or Nah

If it's cold or you are going to bust your knuckles on rocks, cactus, whatever then wear gloves.
If you just want to look cool compared to all the low speed high drag Fudd's then wear gloves.
In one situation no one will make fun of you, in the other situation you'll probably find a post on a forum about how 'some moron was wearing tactical gloves while shooting the 50 yard target off the bench'.
For the pleasurable shooting most people do as a pastime gloves are unnecessarily burdensome and hot.Calguns.net, where everyone responding to your post is a Navy Force Delta Recon 6 Sniperator.Comment

I would say everyone should own at least one good pair of gloves. They do not need to be the so called "tactical" high speed operator kind. Mechanix brand gloves are excellent for use with a rifle or pistol. Note that they do also make a "tactical" pair or two. What makes them tactical? They're black.
Think they got grey out now too and a coyote brown of sorts. Other than that they are the same as their non tactical counterparts.
But a good pair of gloves are great for general protecting of your hands, keeping your hands warm in colder weather, and helping to avoid burns from a hot barrel or hand guard."Kestryll I wanna lick your doughnut."

I wear those blue rubber coated palm cotton gloves when it's cold and I'm hunting. They work great for shooting and then cleaning game afterwards.Comment

I tend to shoot quicker when I wear silk gloves.Comment

I have used gloves when it was cold. ~20-30F.
Made a marginal difference in finger comfort.

I only shoot with gloves when it is under freezing. I can't stand the feeling of gloves mainly because almost everything I shoot has a very light trigger. Either my bolt actions or my AR, to my 1911 all have sub 2.5lb triggers. I just don't feel like I get the control I need with the gloves.
I've thought about getting a set of gloves without the fingertip on the trigger fingers, or just cutting the one off if need be. Only the last digit is what I need.Comment
