    Tactical Gloves Yay or Nah

What are your thoughts on the usefulness of tactical gloves? For rifles only?

I often wear gloves for the purpose of avoiding the occasional scratch. Not to be all high speed low drag.

Whatever floats your boat but be sure to match them with tacti-cool shirt and pants

I'll admit I haven't used super high speed stuff, just basic cheap gloves or mechanix stuff. The mechanix were alright but I honestly thought I shot much better without them.

In my mind if it's cold enough that you need gloves, thin little gloves like mechanix aren't going to help much anyways.

Now as far as cool factor, ya you can't operate without gloves bro

IF you are ever in a high heart rate type of situation also consider palm moisture, and not the good kind. (Refrain from comments) Get used to wearing gloves, slip and fall, hot barrels, rocks, glass, its well worth it, a snug fit and if possible I usually cut or buy gloves with exposed trigger finger or both index and thumb. It makes some things a lot easier while still protecting the overall condition of the hand.

Camo Mechanix gloves on sale at Amazon for $10.44!
It was just an old plywood boat, with a '75 Johnson, with electric choke. A young boy, two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel.

No gloves for me. Better feel of the rifle. Kinda like not using a condom.

I'm not a big fan of gloves when shooting however if you've ever shot in the rain or in really cold weather they can help.

I shot a USPSA match and the rain was coming down sideways and off the buzzer when I reached for my gun and tried to align my sights, my hands were shaking because I was so cold. After that match, I went online to buy some shooting gloves and I keep them in my range bag now just in case

I have used them when shooting my S&W 500 revolver with the heavier loads (500gr). It definitely helps me control recoil and keep a solid grip in that limited scenario.

I recently tried some Mechanix Gloves and really liked them. Kind of like Wearing gloves while working out. Better grip which makes the firearm seem lighter.
