Does Clint hold gun right?

The first rule about Hollywood is that you can assume everything about guns you see in movies is wrong. The second rule is that Clint gets a pass on the first rule. Always. All I ask is the right to own the same weapons I paid for the Taliban to own.

I've received a sore thumb of my overhand, a time or two , from gas expelling from the cylinder gap.--------------------------------------------

Actually, you have to keep EVERY finger away from the cylinder gap or it can blow off your finger (with larger calibers.)
Thumbs-forwards is a big no-no on revolvers and especially on specialty revolvers such as Rhino which shoots off of 6 o'clock chamber where you have to be extra careful about how you hold it. Generally, the thumb goes down on the grip and the support hand goes on top of it with its thumb *also* down. You *could* get away with keeping the strong thumb loose and up in the air, but you wouldn't have the benefit of the weak thumb forward the way you would on a semi-auto.
Miculek explains various grips quite well in his videos. He also talks about an interesting way to hold J-frames which would seriously damage your support hand if you tried it on a semi-auto. You can also see why he bobs his hammers.sigpicNRA Benefactor MemberComment

Hit the Target
Back in the day, shooting instructions taught the correct hold was one handed, arm extended, focus on front sight. Then the Weaver stance became popular. From there we are here today with full Magpul tactical stance.
Funny, there is no right or wrong way, as long as you hit the target.
That's my two cents.
Can anyone comment how he holds his gun?
Haven't taken my formal training yet till I can budget for a class. However, after watching over past month a few dozen expert videos on Ytube I find none agrees with this posture. Specifically, looks to me like his finger joint on the trigger - and not using (as videos say) the middle of the finger tip. And his thumb curled down - not (as videos say) straight under barrel.
If you all find Clint just right, then maybe I should stop watching those videos.Smith & Wesson Collectors Association
