Outlaw Josey Wales where he has two SA Colts, cocking and firing was pretty accurate, methinks. And yes, he gets a pass.

I'll let you know how it works when I get my Model 29.

The bang end is pointing at the bad guy. Good enough.

"only hits count" and Dirty Harry hits just about everything he shoots at. Who are YOU to question the methods of Inspector Callahan?

If you all find Clint just right, then maybe I should stop watching those videos.
First, that is Mr. Eastwood not Clint, second learn the magpul forward revolver grip

Pay attention to your class and what works best for you... Good luck.

I highly recommend asking this question at the beginning of the first day of your upcoming class.

Trigger finger - you have the most sensitivity on the ball and if you're shooting a nice 1911 trigger for accuracy that's what you use. If you're shooting some nasty revolver DA trigger going deeper - to the knuckle - gives you a lot more leverage, and especially if you're shooting fast it helps pull the trigger straight back. Some competition types actually recommend trying it for DA or DA/SA guns in USPSA production division.

The thumb thing - I have no idea but I'm sure it was the fashion at the time and is a reasonable way to shoot a revolver.

Have you ever shot one of those? That ain't no Ruger .22.

Movie poses aside, a one handed grip with the thumb up on a .44 revolver means you can not have a tight hold on the grip. You are just holding the cannon with 3 fingers against the palm of your hand.

He may not hold his pistol correctly but he weilds a mean 9 iron.
I watched him destroy a car parked in his his spot with one back in the 90's here on the warner lot.

                                LOL. Sheesh. You guys...
I've been shooting full-house magnum loads in my 29s for nearly 40 years. Yes. One-handed occasionally. Always shot mine with thumb down and joint of finger. With a high grip.
But I suppose your mileage might vary.
