You know the phrase " don't bring a knife to a gun fight"?
I don't think it would work any better without a knife.Welcome to OT, where hypocrisy is King, outrage is Queen and the Kingdom is on the shores of the Denial River.

No good. Nunchaku are illegal in California. Not allowed to defend yourself with those either. Just remember, in an active shooter situation, it's best to call CalDOJ first and ask them what weapon you're allowed to fashion. They'll probably just tell you to cower under a desk and die though. Best to let the "professionals" who are 20 minutes away and under no legal obligation to provide you with safety take care of things.Comment

And still do if armed. Active shooter training is to teach you how to survive when you are unarmed. If you are armed 100% of the time 100% of everywhere you go, you are ahead of the curve. Until of course, SWAT shows up and shoots you. In active shooter training they even go over not being killed by rescuers. It's information. The more the better.Comment

This conversation and safety practice is much more prevalent in corporate businesses. We (hospitality ind.) recently made a strong push to incorporate this into practice, much like a fire drill or natural disaster drill.Comment

I saw a similar video.
No reference to shrieking woman or not pulling fire alarm. Neither of these mentioned.
Fire extinguisher only used to spray shooter. After getting hit by chemical, shooter falls unconscious. How likely is that? He would be unconscious if someone used the FE as a club and bashed his head in.
Pot of hot coffee would be a great weapon. No mention of that.

Should be fight first then hide and lastly run. Would be nice if the gov. got it's head out of it's a** and helped.Comment

Fighting an armed person while unarmed is a bad decision. Bad decisions are probably why you are homeless. Don't add dead to the situation. That would be another bad decision.Comment

You know after scott jones has approved 6,000+ ccw folks in last 5 years he was itching to say.." if you are confident enough and take some training. ..always carry ".
I place more importance on my life and my families then law and some facists s for brains under a white dome.Beans and BulletsComment

You place ZERO importance on you family if you are willing to go to jail and leave them high and dry because of your insistence to carry no matter what laws you are breaking.
While I respect your diligence in this matter, I also pity a situation where your family is looking for food and shelter.Comment

Where do you get me being locked up in jail that my family becomes homeless and hungry? Wild imagination.
If there is a law that endangers my family or limits what I can do to protect at a needed time, I make my choice. Heads of family die all the time..the rest of the family doesn't just roll over and cry in a ditch. If your family is so weak they become homeless and hungry you have many more issues then any carry law.
You can keep your pity party to you and your family when calling for help...or when .."run and hiding".Beans and BulletsComment
