I am amazed at the number of posts stating they pay what ever they do without mentioning the shop or the FFL. Like the one that just says:

"I pay $$ for transfer and Dros" ^^^^

Well, thank you. No, really, many thanks for your post and the great contribution to this thread.
We are not competing with each other in this thread. What good is it to just hear about how much you paid since we do not know if you are in the Bay area or BFE and what shop you used?

You are not replying to questions from the po' po'. You can offer the information here without any harm.

Just paid 127 bucks for a 360 dollar pistol. Think that was the 65 dollar fee, the DROS and sales tax.

          California sucks

Yep I charge 35.00 to transfer a gun and then collect all the state stuff. I value my customers and they keep me in business by sending me their friends and buying guns from me as well. The experience is way better than an LGS or big box store and is the fastest easiest and most pleasant way to buy a gun. Know what you want. . . . , get what you deserve. Simple as that!

                What's DROS?

In southern OR I pay $15 + $10 BG, if shipped. Stores only charge $10 BG when buying from them.

$35 + tax + Dros isn't so bad I guess for an online order. Any similar FFL dealers in the Bay area??? The time/gas to drive to Sac isn't worth it. Or does Nobody buy online guns in the Bay Area???

It's funny how people only share Half the info, like that really helps.

Could anyone please mention the FFL dealer's name, or some contact info?

Peter at Mt Pleasant Arms. He's an FFL by appointment only. Fees are very reasonable and listed in link here: http://mparms.com/Tranfer-Fees-Effec...015_ep_73.html

                              You tell them Hoss.

My last post of $26 was a Sarcastic Hint but seems like they are all drunk or smoking Mary Jane.
How else can you ask some mature (alegedly) adults posting on a Gun Forum not to just spew out words and numbers that are meaningless. waste of their time, readers time and the band width.
I gave up at the $26 mark.

                                Wait.. 10% tax + $25 DROS + $45-$100 transfer fee + a lock (usually) for $10-20.

That's what is usually costs me for pistol.

                                .
