    Whats your FFL transfer fee?

Got a spot here in houston for 10 bucks with chl and 15 for non chl. I remember when I thought I was getting a sweet deal at 55 with dros included when I lived in cali lol.

For those not living in cali any more, what's your transfer fees?

CA-defined DROS fees are exclusive to CA, but there are still FFL transfer fees whereever you go.

transfer fees in other states are usually less than CA because there is a lot less paperwork and hassle for the FFL to process. and note how it is even cheaper for CHL (CCW) holders as opposed to non-CHL holders. that is because the FFL doesn't have to call into NICS and can just write down the CHL info on the 4473 and be done.

My brother lives in Oregon and tells me the transfer fee is $10 if he buys something online and has it shipped in. Plus $25 for the background check. No tax.

Johnny above said he pays $40 including dros. Unless I read the op wrong I thought this question was for transfer fees outside if CA

Well, OP, I don't pay FFL transfer fees at all.

Amazing how things differ in other states. So what's do FFL dealers charge in the bay area - to have a gun shipped (and bought online, like buds)? I'm interested in a handgun right now.
