      Frontsight is OK

We have about 12 Family members who have visited frontsite for shooting, armory, and kids courses. Couldn't be happier with our experiences there. Yes sometimes it is hard to get past the advertising and hard sell, but it is fully worth it. You can usually find the lifetime memberships pretty cheap if you look around.

I love training at Frontsight too. Where else can I be on the range shooting 8 hours a day for 4 days straight for free??? Sure I got to drive and get a room but even paying for that 32 hours of solid range time with fellow shooters is always a blast.

And I get to use my free credits to shoot the Thompson at lunch.

I just block Iggy's emails and I'm good to go

Seems some of you just have to have something to whine about.

Not your cup of tea, don't go. But why you feel you need to ruin it for others I'll never know.

How did any of us ruin it? Was it the truthful math breakdown for people that don't live right next to the range that ruined it for you or mention of all the prolific pyramid marketing? Or the mention of links to Lord Xenu?

I live near Sacramento and the drive is about 9 hours (550miles) with several pit stops and lunch. Not a bad drive. My wife and I have been 6 times and love it. We purchased a Diamond lifetime membership 4 years ago for $900 and still feel it was worth it. We have upgraded several times since and now have numerous Diamond Memberships that we give to family members and sell for $100 each to others. We just love to see people go there and enjoy themselves and I guarantee that you will have a ball. I have never met one person who has gone that later say they didn't have fun and learned a lot.

Pretty typical summary. One class recovers any investment you made in a membership.

Probably because lots of people are simply irritated by hearing/reading about the place. The training might be fine, the costs of whatever package/membership might be fine, but keep in mind for a few years that the thing resulted in gobs of spam and pyramid marketing junk that a lot of people just got plain sick and tired of. To say they have an image problem would be an understatement.

It is an individual decision. My friends and family enjoy our time in Pahrump. Others may prefer to stay local. The key is . . . go get training. Local, a few hours away, states away, . . . go get training and share your experiences.

I, just tonight, signed up for a 4 day tac. shotgun course. It will be my 3rd time going there. All "free" based on my Diamond membership and credits.

I booked the cheapest air, hotel, and rental car I could find. It might cost me about $400 for all that and the ammo but, wait, I'm getting paid my regular salary while I'm there getting 1st class training.

This is pretty funny. I attended FS two years ago and took a 4-day Defensive Handgun course. I was rather impressed by training but no so impressed by their marketing shpiel and their membership system. But more on that later. I didn't really consider going back, but there is a 4-Day rifle...

                            Scientology is a cult right?
The owner is a Scientologist but if you wear a tinfoil hat his mind control waves can't affect you.

Personally I have attended over a dozen classes at Front Sight from the Chuck Taylor days to the present and there has never been one mention of Scientology in the classes.

Is this the same membership where he offers free gun bonus? Free FMK with purchase of 2 memberships, a second gun of your choice from list if you buy 5?
