I got into an interesting email discussion with a dealer in Reno who won't ship to Calif. in protest of our 'draconian gun laws.' When I tried to get him to see that by doing that he was playing right into the hands of the antis and dorks in Sac, he just begged off by saying he was exercising his professional judgement. Right.

It's called jealousy, plain and simple. The only thing we don't have is the coolest guns. Every other department we got covered. Great food, The ocean, mountains, deserts, snow, sun, Technology capitol of the world(silicon valley), entertainment capitol of the world(Hollywood), and by far the best looking girls on the planet. someone should list a bunch of good deals and say they'd only deal to California, and then give the big list of good reasons why they'd only sell to California...

particularly the parts about virtual bans by inconvenience being the agenda of the Brady campaign and the support of California and other besieged states is the support of the front line of defense against the destruction of the right guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment.

Good Point! As long as you know that you are using your rights and so is he. Many people here feel that they are somehow entitled to buy from anyone and should be able to force the seller to sell to them. Obviously this is not true. I don't get upset about anyone refusing to ship to Ca. I just don't do bussiness with them and, that includes CTD, SG, etc. I won't buy ANYTHING from these companies and feel that no one in Ca should. I bet they'd see a 5-10% drop in bussiness if we all boycotted them and then they'd re-evaluate their policies.

If he doesn't want to ship it to Ca. it's his right and his loss. I'm glad we still live in a country that allows us to choose who we want to do bussiness with. Yea, sometimes I may not like someone else's ideas but, that's the price we have to pay for freedom. I can't believe that anyone is such a "bonehead" asto not respect another's freedom to choose how they want to live their life, who they want to associate with .

I dont need a lecture from you about freedom Mr. High and Mighty. Yeah its his CHOICE not to sell a gun to california. Its also IGNORANT but to each his own. But in any case what does his not wanting to sell a gun to California pertain to me not respecting his freedom to choose how he wants to live his life . I dont care if he doesnt want to sell his gun to me, i can go to a gun store and buy the same gun. I just think its stupid because he is basically cutting his own throat for sales which doesnt make him a good businessman.
Since HE placed the gun for sale ad he is automatically allowing anyone to bid for it since we live in this freedom loving country right. but now he says anyone can bid on this gun as long as you dont live in California.
So if i placed a gun for sale and lets say i said anyone can bid on this gun as long as youre not black or mexican or asian or from Alabama. but as you said its my RIGHT to sell to whoever i want to and associate with whoever i want to. Im not really mad at the seller I just think the seller is a idiot simply because he CHOOSES to stay ignorant about laws when he could probably have that gun sold and bought by a californian

Well, there are laws in place to prevent discrimination based on race, religion, etc. but, you are more than free to exclude yourself from doing business with any citizen of Alabama, anyone with green hair, anyone who whines about someone not wanting to do bussiness with you, etc. If you are aware that he is operarating within his rights, why are you assuming he is ignorant? You seem to have started this thread just to whine and say that you are being treated unjustly yet, you do agree that the seller in question is acting within his rights. Why are you assuming that he is ignorant of Ca laws? Who knows, maybe he helped write them? It is you that is whining and openingly ignorant about the seller's motivations.

I agree that it stinks when some people choose not to send their products here but, that's the price you have to pay for living here. You do have a few choices though. You can move out of Ca. You can continue to moan, whine and point fingers. You can continue to outright attack every seller who refuses to do bussiness with Ca residence. Or, you can stop whining and POLITELY attempt to educate these sellers on an individual basis, knowing full well that, you won't be able to convert them all. Unfortunately, I think I know which one you'll choose based on your previous actions.

I didnt whine about anything. the second post i made was to reply back to a reply made. If you consider my first post a " outright attack" I hate to see what you consider if someone comes after you with a baseball bat or a gun. I simply posted a link and said that the guy was a bonehead. ( like many other posters on here do) I do have a right to state opinions. I SAID before that I dont give a crap about his rifle or his sales to california. I never once whined about not being treated fair IM NOT BUYING THAT RIFLE and never planned to. I just slimply posted another link to a seller who doesnt deal with california and IS ignorant because if he actually knew the laws he would know that rifle he is selling is completely legal to sell in cali. yeah you know me so well from a few words you read online. give me a break.
