There are 33 "on roster" colt models, however only 4 models appear to be in production with 3 of them having 2 finishes each.

Colt O7000D Defender / Alloy, Stainless Steel 3" .45 ACP Stainless NRA 1/1/2016
        Colt O4091 Commander Ser 80 / Stainless Steel 4.25" .45 ACP Blue Stainless 1/1/2016

In just a few minutes of working through the list I see 66 discontinued models... not really good when at least 8% of the roster isn't even in production or available.

Another example, there are 19 Les Baer models, but half are duplicates; there's the "regular" model and the "1.5moa guarantee model."

So in reality there's only 10 models, not 19, which shows the roster is inflated so you believe there's more choice.

          Les Baer Concept I (1.5" Group) / Steel Pistol 5" .45 ACP 1/1/2017
          Les Baer Concept I / Steel Pistol 5" .45 ACP 1/1/2017

Les Baer Custom Carry (Blue) / Steel Pistol 5" .45 ACP 1/1/2017
Les Baer DCM National Match Hardball 5" / Carbon Steel Pistol 5" .45 ACP 1/1/2017

I don't think anyone ever claimed that; but if you think that dropping from 1,302 available handguns to 738 available handguns in just 3 years' time is not something that deserves concern and can be disregarded with snide apathetic droll guffaws, then sure, California is the place for you.

Personally I think the reduction is a repugnant sign of the direction this state is wishing to go.

Look again at the expiration date on those Colts.

OP, excellent post. We have gun control by attrition. There are no Remington handguns on the list at all. Gun manufacturers just refuse to even TRY to comply with the asinine Calif certification requirements. Many of the handguns that do make the list, do so at an additional cost of features we neither need, nor want.
84 fewer handguns, over 10% from a list that was already way too short.
                    Where will it stop?

Also curious about this. Could have sworn that I'd seen the decocker SP01 in a store fairly recently.

Well, I guess if I decide to get another CZ to use as a straight-up range toy, it'll be a CGW-ized 75 B SA. Probably the better choice, anyway.
