Smittty, You're comparing Apples to Oranges. Turners = public place, public access. VS Private Residence.

That's not to say that Turners doesn't have the right to their policy, but we as consumers have the right to shop elsewhere if we don't agree with their policy.

I think Turners started banning photos inside their Stores after the deadly robbery back in 2007.

To protect the serial #? I guess I could see it that way. The shotgun was in the lower half of the display case. I was standing up aiming my phone down towards it. Probably 3ft between us. There is no way it would've looked like I was taking a pic simply for the serial#. Unless some of you guys have high tech phones where you can see still serial #'s clearly 3ft away through a display case.

Many, many stores have that policy, not just gun shops. Enforcement of it varies quite a bit. I know it was the policy at Best Buy when I worked there, primarily to make it more difficult for the competition to comparison shop.

I tried to take a pic of a gun I bought before it went into jail years ago at a local Turners. I was also told I was not allowed because of company policy.

For so many possible reasons why they do not allow it and I commend them.

Any small business owner can put themselves in their shoes and easily understand why.

Someone may be casing the joint.

Someone may be an anti gunner and wants to catch them doing something that can be viewed as illegal.

I could go on . . .

I respect people's places of business and if I ever wanted to take a picture, I ask someone if I may. I am way more surprised when they allow me to.

Anyone questions why a business has this or that policy is telling me that person does not have nor knows anyone who does have a private business. To me, it reeks of leftism and I thought this was a pro gun forum, pro freedom forum. If you want to bad mouth them, fine. But I much rather spend my time bad mouthing government processes and enforcers who create such a litigious and hostile environment to begin with.

The work is from a tattoo artist Xiao Bai. Talented artist. Love her work. If this illustration offends you, you have every to feel that way. I actually like this piece. But guys, at the end of the day, it's only an illustration. Btw, i know THE DRAWING violated a safety rule. But if it helps, the artist made sure the revolver was clear before drawing it.

How hard do you think that guys behind the counter laugh at that one when they see you get in your 2001 Civic to drive off?

It would be hard to spend 15-20 minutes answering questions for some destitute tirekicker as he rubs his ratclaws all over the SCARs and LWRC's, and then see him meander to the register as he buys a plastic ammo can and a bottle of soda with his secured credit card, reattaches the wheel to his beach cruiser, and peddles off back to hoboville.

Their shop, their rules. Besides, why do you need a pic to send to your friend? Tell them the make and model of the gun and they can google it.

I did not say it offends me. It's just lousy schlock art, typical of most "tattoo art", as such an oxymoron as that phrase is. It's a "piece" alright.
