No Taking Pictures Inside Turners?

So I was inside a Turners yesterday, just to look around. I noticed they had the DP-12 Shotgun inside their display case. I wanted to take a picture with my cell phone to send it to my friend whose actually interested in buying one, but suddenly a sales person said, "Sorry, you can't take pictures." I asked why but he just replied, "It's store policy" and walked away. Can some one explain the reason for this? I later looked on their website and saw they had the same price I saw inside their display case, so it's not like it's a secret or anything. I just thought that was a weird policy.
This bothers you?! Seriously?
For so many possible reasons why they do not allow it and I commend them.
Any small business owner can put themselves in their shoes and easily understand why.
Someone may be casing the joint.
Someone may be an anti gunner and wants to catch them doing something that can be viewed as illegal.
I could go on . . .
I respect people's places of business and if I ever wanted to take a picture, I ask someone if I may. I am way more surprised when they allow me to.

OP, rather than ask the peanut gallery for their guesses to your question,
why don't you post your question on the Turner's Forum right here on Calguns?

When ever I make a purchase of any firearm I take pics of 4 angles front back and each side .
Hard to fight a shop if some Moron drops your gun while playing with it . And yes I caught a issue once . But the shop was cool and offered me a deal on something . With out pics how would you argue this . And is the shop had a range on site I would be more inclined to take pics as far as taking mags and what not same thing. I take them all . Shop wants to argue later I'll purchase somewhere else .Comment

I asked politely and even said I wanted to post pics of it on Calguns. Dude was cool about it, didn't even quibble. But if I wasn't buying, I'm sure he would have said no. I would have said no too.
Too many wierdos taking pics of everything now days with ulterior motives, to spread FUD or even plan a theft. Like Ronin2 said, if it keeps the leftist press away, I'm OK with it too.
