Just wanted to ask if they do propose this legislation, would Sacramento be REQUIRED to open the AW registry so that we may register our rifles or can they just ban it and have no recourse? DOJ never recognize / approved the bullet button, however they have been ubiquitous so one can argue in court that they essential have been approved, so if they ban it now, there has to be some "grandfather" option or open the AW registry right?

Sacramento or individual cities can abolish RAWs completely. Those are not protected. That is why there is a run on rifles nationwide. It is for hiding them while it is still possible.

Reading into that, a magazine lock and 10 round magazine would define a rifle as NOT an assault rifle. This would have minimal impact considering current restrictions.

Bullet Button Ban?

Hey guys, this feller here is talking about the "break top,fixed magazines" that bushmaster put out within compliance. It has a fixed (in the lower) 10 round mag you have to load by opening the rifle with the from takedown pin. I have a lower like this at the bottom of my bag lol.

How much is that thing?!

They look "cool." But I choose function over form.

In California, the only guns I would get, that are cool and functional and still legal but I think are going to be targeted soon are, M1, mini 14, 10/22 (and other similar .22 rifles) and semi auto pistols that carry more 7 round magazines.

I believe what CA government will eventually only allow here, bolt action, pump action, break action and revolvers.

And for the record, I know what the bullet button is. It is nearly as bad as the folding bushmaster. Why bother?! The guns are super pricey so totally not worth it.

I was at the range and this guy had a Tavor he allowed me to handle and shoot. It had a flip of some sort instead of a bullet button. I think the next step is going to be that. Then folding rifles like that Bushmaster I described.

Individual cities in California cannot, or they already would have. State law prevents cities from determining which weapons are legal. This is why cities in CA are going after magazines and ammo instead. Any assault weapons laws in CA have to be state wide, but that is a real concern moving forward.

Without a doubt. And there won't be any AW registration. It will be a full on BB and AW ban with no grandfathering, nada. I'm guessing they will even ban previously registered AW's. ****ing democrats.

I for one am for it. I hate bullet buttons. Bullet buttons were another pointless government overreach. If they get banned I will be the first one to remove them from all my rifles and mail then (the bullet buttons not the rifles) to Moonbeam.

I bought 2 car-15 lowers 1 complete for $60 I believe. So that lower itself isn't worth too much lol. Still have that complete on my dedicated ar9mm. Works well for a composite (see: polymer) lower. Worked really well for my old 556 I had built up too. The seller said I can send to to bushmaster to drop free. Which they won't touch it lol

I'm guessing either you or your brother don't understand the whole concept of the bullet button to load a AR type rifle.

Push the bullet button and it makes your firearm fully automatic. this is what I learned from watching the news

Doesn't Article 1 of the United States Constitution prohibit ex post facto laws, by both the fed and the States?

The Second Amendment says that the government cannot infringe the right to keep and bear arms. They've ignored that.
