    Bullet Button Ban?

I don't know if anybody else has seen it, but last night I saw an anti-bullet button TV commercial. I think it was a reporter? Either way, he basically spoke to the camera and flat out said we need to ban the bullet button in CA and close this "loophole."

    Anybody else see it?

Brown vetoed it once, so he will do it again. Yet, post-Brown era looks a little grim.

wasnt this discussed a few years ago? where if the BB became banned, we all would either have to go featureless or they (the state) would have to open the AW registry here in CA which they wouldnt do.

Well, the legislature was ok with that, but Brown vetoed it. I expect to see this bill again under the new governor. So, everyone has time to decide, if they want to switch to featureless or remove BB and call it AW.

Time to revive the ghost of Leland Yee who wrote the first bb band. They want to talk about "bullet buttons",we want to talk about racketeering in Calif Legislature!! Even Slick Willy Brown said the well had to be deeper than just
Leland Yee and more people had to be involved. He would know.
              So ya, "bring it ON"

Well If the politicians of this state make it a felony to have a bullet button and/or not to have a bullet button seems like a easy choice .

I don't have a link. It was on TV last night. Probably a commercial for a news story that appeared later in the night. I've tried looking for a clip online but can't find anything.

But either way, this REPORTER was flat out calling for legislation to ban it. Maybe I'm misguided, but it's my opinion journalists should REPORT news, not become part of the political debate and push an agenda themselves. Jerks. All of them.

That's because they're not truly "journalists" anymore. They're all just propagandists for the political propaganda machine.

The bullet button?! Why even bother buying such a gun. My brother had a bushmaster and it had to like literally be fold in half to load the attached magazine. For 5 shots?! Why bother. California is toxic and I am planning on leaving again. Time for pro gun owners to think about leaving to as well to pro gun states to strengthen their voters rolls because for the foreseeable future, California is far gone. Time to prevent California madness to spread.

I'm guessing either you or your brother don't understand the whole concept of the bullet button to load a AR type rifle.

Just wanted to ask if they do propose this legislation, would Sacramento be REQUIRED to open the AW registry so that we may register our rifles or can they just ban it and have no recourse? DOJ never recognize / approved the bullet button, however they have been ubiquitous so one can argue in court that they essential have been approved, so if they ban it now, there has to be some "grandfather" option or open the AW registry right?

I also heard a reporter today on fox say something about "anyone can buy gunpowder" in reference to the pipe bombs @ san bernardino. Yay
