Do you guys keep you rounds in your magazine?

I hear that if you keep them in the mag it wears the spring out. But I want to keep mags in handy in case of SHTF moments. What do you guys do?

Leave them loaded, it won't wear out the springs

I like to keep them loaded just incase and also to loosen up the springs. Especially on new magazines where it's a pain in the *** to fully load them to 10 rounds.

Leaving mags loaded does not wear springs. It is the action of compression and expansion, the movement, that wears.

The myth that won't die. It is the compressing/uncompressing that wears the spring. Sitting compressed should not affect the spring.

^ What these two said. Maybe not put in the last round to ensure proper loading into a pistol that has one already in the chamber.

Does anyone else have the issue with their mags where even if you have 10 or more bullets in the magazine it doesn't hit the 10 round mark? might just be me but it bugs the hell out of me!

My "GO TO" guns have loaded mags. They are always loaded.

Cuz WTF ya gunna do when you have to load a mag before you can use the weapon if SHTF?

I have kept loaded mags for YEARS. They always work as as usual.

Looks like you should have bought a revolver instead to ease your mind.

                            Seriously!

The mags on my Taurus I've had for 10 years now, and I bought them used, so no telling how old they really are. Fully loaded all the time, and no issues.
It was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help.

Well, they are lighter to carry when empty.
