it is about knowing that i am a lazy bastard and buying factory loaded ammo is just faster and easier.

and knowing me, even if i do buy a reloading setup i will get tired of reloading within about 3 months, then will just throw it all into a box and left in the garage.

            I only run 5.56.

Buy it cheap, stack it deep!

I wouldn't say I gave IN to the panic, just want to stay ahead. I won't be caught empty handed like last time.

I don't think there's much of a panic going on. I'm watching supply on a daily basis, and it's not like the good deals aren't to be found. I would have figured that everyone would be out of stock by today - but definitely no so. That said, I don't need much of an excuse to buy more at good prices... During the previous panics, I had the luxury of sitting on a lot of high-quality ammo that I got at very good prices, where my friends were paying $1 a round at Big 5 if they could find it, or were shooting some really dodgy eastern european crap.

                  ^^^^ that^^^^

After the first of the year, when this all dies down, and the election cycle starts I think we'll see a need for sales again - prices could drop. Then depending on how well hilda' is doing in the polls next November we could see another increase then.

Im really hoping that these prices dont carry into the election year. Im already seeing 400 a case on wolf gold at other place. Looks like most went up about 50 across the board

I think many reputable dealers who are in this for the long term are not jacking their prices up. We all saw what happened to the reputations of a few places that were charging stupid money the minute news articles came out - I'll never buy from them again.

Places like SGAmmo, Widener's, Ammo Supply Warehouse, Palmetto, and a bunch more of the ones most of us frequent are holding tight on prices. Of course, if the supply goes down to nothing and they can't restock, they do have to keep the lights on...

Ammoman still has 2 pages of it.

I think with the last 2 or 3 panics happening just in King Obama's illustrious reign of 7 years, most people are weary of the situation and not rushing in

During the last panic, .308/7.62 was hard to find but not as hard as .223/5.56. The mil-surp stuff was going for about $1 per round. I stocked up on .308/7.62 this time around because buying it at $1-$2 per round made my .308/7.62 rifles dust collectors.

you sure? they have an option for the exact same ammo for $330, Bosnian mfg. Did you buy the Bosnian stuff before it went OOS?

They also have the exact same ammo for $345, remanufactured. Also OOS. Did you get that (and have a coupon code)?
