Widener's still has a nice selection at good prices. Also, at SGAmmo, those 900 round sealed M855 ammo cans from Denmark are not a bad deal at all.

I think it's unavoidable that we'll see a run on ammo in the short term. Happens every time, and then it takes way too long for the prices to come back down to reality levels. I bought some yesterday just to take advantage of the low prices - I know it will probably by summer before we see decent 5.56mm at $0.30 a round again.

SGAmmo had tons of cheap .223 in stock, disappeared within 1-2 days. Considering it's been in stock for the last couple of weeks, i'll consider it a (dumb) panic buy.

Ammo brothers in Santa Ana has pallets of it 4-6 39 a box just walked out of the store with a thousand round case they gave me the internet price you can order this online right now. 619 plus tax

Yeah, I didn't need it but as soon as the terror attack happened I went to SGAmmo and bought 1000rd case of PMC X-Tac M855 for $359. They are out now and all the prices have gone up especially on smaller quantities. Except I noticed that Widener's still has a decent price on IMI which comes in 1200 round cases.

Yup, I've been watching prices come down steadily for the past few months, and there were some screaming good Black Friday deals. I figured I'd wait a few more months for the prices to keep coming down as they usually do in the winter, but the cheap prices are fair, so I may as well load up just in case. These stupid ammo famines happen with too much regularity, and the odds are that it's better to buy some now and increase the stockpiles.

Lots in stock. Yes it's $375/1000 but that's what retail needs to do to make sure they have it in stock. It's when it's gone that SHTF in prices. 40 cases and lots of others still in stock here.
