Don't matter which hobby it is, shooting, fishing, cars, people that are really into them are usually dicks.

I respectfully disagree. Many people who are very serious about their hobby still act with courtesy and respect, especially toward their fellow hobbyists.

The problem is not people who take this hobby seriously, it is people who take themselves way too seriously.

Folks let the site become too big a part of their life, and they get all defensive and emotional about it. Note that a disproportionate number of the nastiest posters have crazy high post counts. It's no longer just a site on the Internoogie, it becomes like their home, and they act like angry old men screaming at the neighborhood kids to get off their lawn!

The Water-Walkers, and the hypersensitive types with huge egos, can really screw up an online community, because they often bring out the worst in otherwise decent, normal people.

Calguns has way too many heavy posters who take themselves way too seriously.

There are worse sites, but there are many that are noticeably better.

Unfortunately, I think the stupid drama might be causing a reduction in useful content, as normal people decide posting is not worth the rude reaction that so often follows.

I remember when calguns was interesting too. I rarely post anything anymore. Nothing much catches my interest here anymore. I don't know what it is, but its way less interesting the last year or so.

It comes and goes. I feel like right now there's a couple of good subforums with interesting stuff but some of the more generic areas pretty much by their nature are going to be very repetitive, although even there it takes blocking a couple of posters before it's really worth it.

Have you ever read about how they make those cherries? Bleach them white then dye them red again. When the zombie apocalypse occurs, it will probably be because of a chemical miscalculation when making these.

Sometimes I think there is just to much political talk on here and to much accusing different politicians of things they most likely didn't do or have anything to do with. Also I think while we may not like a certain politician is does no good to say disrespectful about them IMO that is why I rarely say anything about individual politicians even though just like everybody else I think
some or most don't follow through with what they promised when they were running for office.

I've been around for a year or two and depending on what, who and when you posted depended on if you got a ahhhhhh buddy response or a you're a azz response. I come and go depending on how the responses posted.
