[QUOTE=hawk1;1765041]I feel for your loss, but come on. 18 years and you never got around to buying a real safe? In Oakland no less...[QUOTE]

I totally feel for you. BUT with the kind of collection you had, you SHOULD've bought a safe. A resonable one, non-fire rated would be just a couple of hundred dollars. My friend had one for about $150. It was bolted to the wall, and you couldn't open it without a key. More Safety that way...
I suggest before you by ANY gun now, get a safe first.

BTW, wouldn't your home insurance pay for the stolen items... to a certain extent I would think... ?

Again, do you seriously think prompt attention would have increased the odds of finding a suspect? Please explain how.

generating rev by handing out parking tickets is probably more important.
Apparently you don't have a clue what "immediate call for service" means. Red herring logical fallicies don't help either.

i do think a lot of the atttitudes here are along the lines of calling the woman that gets raped a slut, she never should have worn that dress!
No. A lot of the attitudes here are along the lines of if someone does not try to prevent a problem, then they share the blame when something bad happens. A person who sustains a head injury in a motorcycle accident isn't going to get any sympathy from me if he chose not to wear a helmet, regardless of who caused the accident.

There is nothing Illegal about owning LE ONLY marked magazines

its ridiculous that they said they were reporting murders in oakland..the union city cops are nearly 20-30 mins out from west oakland/international...and would have no business being out there....

blhe either way...i'm sorry for the loss....and i hope your dog is ok....but glad no one else got hurt....

alright...checked with my friend...there were some other factors on top of getting the guns stolen which put his father in that situation......so not being able to pass a DROS shouldn't be an issue in your case...

That's horrible. Looks like UCPD is behind the curve about OLLs and needs to be educated. Somebody fax them the AW chart please.

. And it's the criminals that essentially create the whole mess of bad PR regarding firearms and the general public. Bad guys usually do not buy guns, they get them from us.[./QUOTE]

True but the criminals who steal guns from homes aren't the ones responsible for the "whole mess of bad PR". The criminals responsible for that are in public office, and like the street criminals, they don't buy guns they get them from us.

It's a sick symbiosis of the low and high level crooks of our society. It's a good time to be a bad guy.

Now that you've just had a whole stash of fail unleashed by you, I don't even think you are gonna be able to post anymore. The CalGuns community is gonna know about your stash of fail and that it is out on the forum. You will NOT pass the credibility test on any future posts, possibly for the rest of your life. I am sorry to say, but the CalGuns community and public at large is not gonna take this lightly like the stupid Sheriffs who dusted for evidence of fail, you didn't mention if they did or not.
