    Range tool kit?

Just wondering, what kind of tools do you take to the range and how do you organize them? Thx

In addition to some of the stuff mentioned, I have a few torx bits, due to scope/ring mounts, and a few tiny 0.035" hex wrenches, as I have a few lasers that require that size. My Bondhus set only goes to 0.050".

I also have a few Kleenbore compact cleaning/range rod kits for pistols, a segmented rifle rod in the outdoor range kit, in case I need to clear a barrel, a 6" machinist's rule with 0.01" markings, a small tape measure, and a Sharpie for marking holes, mags, etc.

I keep it all in a small ballistic nylon bag, except the Sharpie, rule, and tape measure, which stay in a pocket on my range bag since I use them more than anything else.

lol, I have reliable guns, but sometimes I want to adjust the tension on my holster / mag holders, my grips might come lose, or I cleaned my gun but forgot to lube it (has happened before).

If you're at the range enough, you'll see many people and their gun 'problems.' Its always nice to lend a helping hand. One can turn a new shooter's POS day into a good one. That alone makes hauling a few extras to the range worthwhile (even though you yourself will never need them).

Add Staple Gun for putting up targets, extra disposable ears/eyes, and a small container full of solvent for a quick 'wiping the bore' of a milsurp before heading home.

I do carry Windex with me when I shoot old ammo in old rifles (is it me, or is it getting harder to find Windex with ammonia in it?), and a small can of oil. Haven't had to use the oil yet. Whatever adjustments I need, I do them at home, and I don't normally need that many adjustments to begin with. I try to buy the stuff that doesn't require constant adjustments and repairs (I'm yet to build my first AR ). The worst thing that can happen is that you'll take your gun home without using up all the ammunition.

Carrying it to help out other people sounds good though, you got me there.

Same. My range is 20 minutes from home. It's rare that I use half the stuff I bring out but its in the range bag so out it comes every trip.
Kinda like having 1st aid supplies, jumper cables, and flashlight in the car kit. Better to have it and not need it I guess.....

craftsman plastic toolbox with viewable storage in the lid. Has cleaning gear, a variety of tools, batteries for various sights, spare earplugs. Stapler and tape for targets.
That's in addition to my range bag, which holds pistols, eye and ear protection (plus spare sets for others), mags, and other odds and ends like hand wipes.
                            And rifle case(s).
And if I'm taking several firearms and people, another tote bag for all the ammo.

I like hauling my handgun ammo in a military flying helmet bag, something like this: http://www.galaxyarmynavy.com/item-fo-56-10.asp
