    Ammo Grab

Somebody sent me this email. It sounds pretty scary so I thought I would post it here to see if anyone here was better informed as to the validity of this topic. Anybody???

Reminds me of a classic Chris Rock comedy bit that goes - "Gun control? We need bullet control! I think every bullet should cost 5,000 dollars. Because if a bullet cost five thousand dollar, we wouldn't have any innocent bystanders."

      Not very relevant, but funny.

Yes, that keeps showing up. Unless I missed one, the last time that came up in CA was SB 357, until it was gutted and amended into something else on Aug 14, 2006.

They tried it in Mississippi and a few other states. Trust me, there are some of the same weirdos elsewhere as there are here, only there they get beat back into their corner like we wish we could do here.

That sounds totally enforcable, if it ever passes, when all of the LEO's are busy chasing ammo it will give the terrorists a better opportunity for another attack.

So what are they gonna do go house to house and search everyone for ammo? yeah I see that happening. The goverment cant stop a poor illegal from coming across a border but they will crack down on guns.
There are plenty of illegal things and there arent enough cops in the country to sit there and search every single house in the US. Im sure everyone will jsut give up their ammo right away

The government doesn't want to stop a poor illegal from coming across the border. It's not as hard to organize, if itreally wanted to do so.

Now, it probably will really want to get the ammunition

I am worried about this approach to gun control. That's why I buy ammo and stay prepared.

Remember how they said that if you didn't register your AW then they'd come looking for it?

Well, so many people didn't register that the state decided it would be wiser just to let that sleeping dog lie and forgot about going door-to-door like some folks said they would.

I think the same thing would happen with this "serial number on bullets" nonsense. The day will come and go, the people will still have gobs of ammunition, and once again government will pretend everything's okay.

lol wut? It already has, in several states, including OURS. And that fat murderous gasbag Ted Kennedy even proposed a Federal bill that was a direct repetition of this serialization scam.

The two seattle liberals at the foul dark heart of it filed a patent on the vague idea of it, then used their other patent-derived riches* to hire a lobbyist to push the idea so that laws would be passed driving paying customers to their door.

                              * these two jerks were nobody property managers in the Seattle area until the figured out a way to keep skateboarders from thrashing on their property. They stole / appropriated the idea of the metal obstacles installed on escalators to keep people from sliding down the central portion and 'invented' similar such obstacles to be installed on curbs and such. Patented their idea and got rich. Then they turned around and looked for a way to repeat the patent-lottery and discovered the ammo serialization scam and set about putting this anti-gun weapon in their fellow liberals' hands.
