Exactly.
Heres more reasons:
- I prefer to have decockers on all my DA/SA pistols. And here's an example, the CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical.
- Different variations of the pistol offer better triggers. Example? The H&K USP's.
- Pistols offered in different calibers like the Sig Sauer P238 vs Sig Sauer P938 or Glock 42 vs Glock 43 (not that a give a @%*! about these 2).
- Certain models aren't on the roster like the Sig Sauer P320.
- Here's the best reason. BECAUSE IT'S MY %$#*^@! RIGHT!

I am roster exempt ( for few more years LOL)
But I do have an opinion .
1). People want what they cant have
2). Some Ca handguns have CA ONLY features that people don't want (SIG's are a good example.) I would NEVER want a Ca Sig.
3). In order to be competitive in some shooting sports , You may need handguns that are not available in Ca.
4). Collectors mostly collect used /out of production handguns that are mostly not on the roster.Comment

Same reason I buy new cell phones or cars from time to time.

I have yet to pay a premium for any off roster gun and probably never will. Even the very few I bought that were through SSE I paid 0 extra for doing so. Is there guns I still want off roster? Yes but I can wait it out until I find one cheap or when I finalize a move out of CA in next few years if possible. Also some guns I don't really want to own in a CA neutered version such as a Skorpion so I don't mind waiting.
I pass up decent deals on off roster guns all the time. They are out there if you look and are patient. This year I've seen like 3-4 Kel-Tec P11's around $250-300ish that I passed up. Haven't seen many cheap P9F's though. I have seen P32's $150-250 since the start of roster and P3AT as new in box $250.
I still find good deals on off roster revolvers too but that isn't as big a deal as SAE still exists.Comment
