Very nice! I hope his app is well received. Any plans on bringing it to Android platform?

I've known Bill for I think about 8 years now.
Shot with him many times and have benefited a lot from his teaching.

He has been featured on Shooting USA with Jim Scoutin and is the real deal when it comes to actual experiance in the field apprehending some of the baddest of the bad, both peacefully and full on encounters.

When I was fortunate to shoot with he and his partner after they retired at the Fresno Peace Officers Range, occasionally some of the current Parole Agents would be there shooting as well.
They would approach Bill and his partner to extend greetings as you and I would approach legendary rock stars or other great men.

Can't find it at the app store. No "Master Pistol Trainer".

I don't want to sound cheap, but is there a promo code or something to check it out? There doesn't seem to be a a lot of details about it. I would like to check it out more to see how it works, but I've honestly never spent more than $1 on an app.

              My thoughts exactly.

People are so cheap, it's 20 rounds of .223 or 30 rounds of cheap 9mm...

Same people complaining about $6 wont buy it for $1.

                  Yikes $5.99??

Tell him if he really wants to go big, think small.

There is a reason the top apps that make millions are free or only $1.99. The top money makers create lite versions with adds then offer a ad free version.

$5.99 for a shot plotter is a bit steep IMO. Again have him look into add revenue. In the long run I feel that would be a much better investment.

Well it's kind of hard to justify $6 for a shot plotter, with basic software.

If it was a ballistic calc or someing more complex sure. But this can be done with a $.05 pen and $.20 note pad.

Full video games are free or $1.99. $5+ in the app market is a HUGE number. It's not about us being cheap, it's about the app market and what's avalible vs what your getting.

Like I said before, app millionares are all via the free market or $1.99 price. Little few people buy apps more than $2.99 unless it's a special purpose high tech app. Even then those hardly sell.

The money is in the ad revenue and product placement/advertising.

Oh please, you're talking about a limited market where even at $1 he'll be fortunate to get a few thousand installs, not to mention apple takes their 20-30% cut, along with cost of developer fees and tools, then taxes.

Would you waste your time developing and supporting your program for $0.40 per install?

Ad supported likely wont net much money either as you're generating a few cents per user.

I'd rather have the $6 pay once, lifetime license, free updates model instead of trading my personal info and seeing lame ads whenever it's used, or the $1 app that doesn't get bug fixes, updates, or new features.

Apple allows shooting apps? I guess the profit motive is stronger than their conscience.
