Reeds is good, I'll drive over to meet my son coming from San Jose for some father-son gun time
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

They also have an NRA first steps pistol class which I took several years ago

Does Reeds have the NRA Women on Target classes?

I took a few pistol and shotgun classes at Reed's with Louis Awerbuck who used to teach there but he passed away last year.

I regret missing his teaching and meeting him, sad!

I've seen that on Reed's site (no contact information other than Phone). Not sure if they sponsor the NRA Women on Target classes. We seem to be half way between Reed's and the Concord Range.

I've been regularly perusing Reed's products, buying two guns, a safe, some cleaning products, and doing a couple of PPTs there, plus hitting the range maybe 50-100 times.

Good experience in all, though it can get crowded.

Prices for accessories and ammo are good but not Internet good. Staff is calm and friendly with shockingly minimal gun store FUD. Zero gang affiliated customers (that I can tell, of course).

I used to go to Reed's, but I bought a little piece of land southeast of Hollister. I don't have to worry about 1 shot every 3 seconds. Get to shoot steel as well as paper, milk jugs, watermelon, etc. But you never know, I might surprise you and show up one day!

                Another vote for Reed's here.

The range is good. Safety rules are enforced.

                Gunshop is very well stocked.

Classes are very good. I've done several over the years.

Overall an excellent place and the prices are really good considering this is a brick & mortar establishment in the middle of Silicon Valley.

I like Reeds. I was there when they didn't let a guy on the range. They had him go through a safety test and once he completed it he suddenly dry fired into the air a couple times. They told him to go away. I felt a lot more comfortable being on the range after that incident.

I have also purchased a well priced guns and they have the powder and primers I use in stock. Folks behind the counter have always been great.

The one negative is their 24 hour PPT policy. But even with that they only charge $35.

I've been to Reed's several times over the years and used their indoor range a couple of months ago. The only other indoor ranges I have used are Jackson in SSF, and Bullseye in San Rafael. 20 years ago, I shot at Optimist in San Leandro. I liked Reed's the best. Plenty of room, good lighting, the target retrieval system worked well and did not sway, and was pretty clean for a range. The store is very well stocked, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices are somewhat higher than other places, but that's expected to have a nicer place. The only reason I don't use their range more often is it's out of the way and another range is closer. Whenever I'm in the South Bay, I usually stop in to take a look.

Also, their rental selection is huge compared to many other ranges. In fact their rental case if about as full as some smaller gun stores sales cases.

I've been to Reed's a fair number of times, and I like the place. The staff have been friendly and helpful.

The range is better than most of the other indoor ranges I've been to and it's really the best in the bay area that I know of.

Disclaimer: I am in no way associated with Reed's. I just like the employees and their range and I spend lots of time and money there.
This kinda sums it up. I'm glad a range like Reed's is near where I work and live. Their prices are pretty reasonable given their a brick and motor store and have to pay for a lot of things. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and with very little if any turnover. it's always the same guys each time I go there.

'Bought a Mossberg 500 and a Mossberg MVP Patrol in .308 there. Could I have gotten each cheaper on the internet? Yes, but not by a whole lot. And then I'd have to deal with other issues. I also like to support my LGS.
